Update: came in today and no longer a gluten free menu. Wonderful lunch on the water! I was excited to see their GF menu! I had the Ahi tacos and we shared the shrimp cocktails. Everything was great.

They did not have a gf menu. The server was clueless, but whoever he talked to in the kitchen seemed to know what they were talking about so I hesitantly ordered the tacos. They were bland and the chicken was way over cooked. Nobody liked the food. The only positive was that I didn't get sick.

I can’t say enough good about this place. It’s a little hard to find. Park in the lot above the restaurant and know that the restaurant is floating on the water. There was a steep metal ramp (long) to get down to the restaurant as well. They had a gluten free menu. The chef came out to talk to me about the ingredients to be absolutely sure it would be ok for me. (Wow.) All our dinners were so fresh and tasty. We sat right on the water front and watched the sunset as we ate. A very memorable time. Also, our server Joe was an absolute delight. He was just amazing. If I could give this place 10 stars, I would.

Plenty of great GF items to choose from, but ask about the french fries. They tasted great, but they had a crunchy coating that I believe may have had wheat in it. My own fault for not asking, because I don’t typically have a problem with fries, but that’s the only questionable thing that I ate yesterday.
The server was very knowledgeable about the gluten free menu and had lots of suggestions. We ordered the spinach artichoke dip, which wasn’t actually on the GF menu. The server suggested it because she knew it was GF. It was great. I had the Mango BBQ rice bowl with fried rice made with GF soy sauce and not only was it delicious, the portion was huge (lunch for the next day) and I felt great after eating it. So excited that I get to eat here again and share this place with other gluten free and celiac friends. Not to mention the ambiance!!! Can’t beat it. Thanks Island Cafe.
