There are items listed on my menu as GF that are put in a cross contaminated fryer. So I couldn’t have anything under the “fried” section even though it was marked GF. The rest of the menu had plenty of GF options. Anything listed “spicy” is not.

I had a pretty good experience here. The menu was marked but I asked if there was anything I should avoid that might be cross contaminated and was told to avoid the fried section (even though some items are marked GF). When I had other specific questions about different items the waitstaff would go ask the kitchen to confirm.
The food wasn’t quite as good as I expected for the price point but I was happy with the experience and felt fine after (although I am not a highly reactive celiac).

Beautiful views, amazing food, and ambiance that can't be beat! The menu is marked with gf options and the servers are educated to help navigate with allergies. Been a dozen times, never gotten sick, and everything is delicious! Book for after a soak at Ten Thousand Waves for an extra special day.

very knowledgeable and let us know a lot of the vegetables and stuff are cooked with gf tamari soy sauce. There were a lot of options for substitutioms to make a dish gf if it and most things were gf. Unsure about.Ross contamination prevention but my friend is just intolerant and we weren't too worried about it . Good variety and delicious food everything we ordered was amazing

I’m not 100% celiac but our waiter was knowledgeable and helped on Multiple food allergies besides g f. Several dishes are labeled g f and I ate all I could ! See Pics of menu. Brussels sprouts, cucumber salad, lamb & bass appear to be g f. I can’t say how it would be for a severe celiac but they’re g f aware which helps.

Although our waitress was knowledgeable and attentive, the kitchen staff was not. Every one of my dishes arrived with something on them that was not GF. The waitress was picking things off my plate in front of me as it was being served. They did not offer to remake anything even though it clearly came into contact with gluten. Completely disappointing, and not worth the high price.

The ambience looking over the canyon was wonderful. The waiter went over my list of allergies, pointed out the dishes that were gluten free and would work well with my other allergies. The waiter also alerted the other wait staff and took my list to the chef. My husband and I were extremely impressed with every dish we tried. The depth and layering of flavors was phenomenal. It reminded us of some Asian fusion restaurants we used to go to in San Francisco. Our favorite dish was the grilled miso bass with bok choy and ginger. But it was tough to pick our next favorite from the Kiribati pork belly tacos with spicy sriracha sesame sauce to the various meat and vegetable skewers grilled over Japanese bincho charcoal. We will definitely go out of our way to eat here again anytime we pass through Santa Fe.

It’s rare to find a Japanese restaurant that is GF, so take advantage! Ate here two nights in a row, both dishes were delicious. Make a reservation in advance!
