Not celiac friendly. I walked in on a weekday lunch hour. Most of the rush seemed to have passed and I asked if they had time to handle a gluten allergy to which she replied, "of course". She halfway mucked up some of the crumbs and was going to begin. She tried to talk her way out of cleaning the meat slicer, using the allergy cutting board, and someone else nearly handled my bread without switching gloves. Every portion of the protocol they followed was at my direction. They didn't seem to be trained at all on cross contamination and I wished I had left vs muscling my way through inconveniencing them. :(

The staff refused to clean the grill. They scraped it but that is not enough if you have celiac disease. They refused to wipe down the grill after scraping. This could make me sick. I have eaten cold subs there before and they were good but don’t trust the hot subs if you have gluten/ celiac issues.
No
Cold subs are fine once the staff cleans the area and does their prep but hot subs could contain gluten. They do not wash down the grill - just scrape it.
I’ve eaten here 5 times. Each time, the employees were great. They completely clean and wipe down the entire prep area. The meat slicer is washed and new paper is put down, along with the fact they use designated utensils and they change gloves. Has been a wonderful experience each time and the subs are fantastic!!!
Wife ordered a GF sub sandwich, they wiped down the entire area, changed gloves and used designated utensils to prepare her food. I sampled hers and I thought it was better than my regular sandwich! She did not have any reaction, we will be back for sure. It’s hard to find a good GF sandwich.
Yes
$2.50 extra for gluten-free bread. Sandwiches are good. They were pretty good with precautions. Still, if I were super sensitive, I’d be worried about the amount of wheat flour crumbs floating around.

Service took a while. I ordered ahead of time even. I waited around 15 minutes once I arrived and was told it would take longer because of my allergy. Overall bread was hard and fell apart while eating it.

I stopped by on a Sunday afternoon to get a gf sub. They asked allergy or preference, wiped down the counter, put down paper, used a clean knife, changed gloves, and were cool about grabbing toppings from the back. They even moved the sandwich to fresh paper at the end of the line instead of wrapping in the paper that had sat on crumbs. Altogether I was impressed! At most locations I have to correct things as I go down the line, but the two staff who interacted with me here seemed very well trained on gf protocols.

They ask if you have an allergy or preference when it comes to the gluten free bread. After stating I have an allergy they cleaned the slicer, the counter, and all of the staff switched gloves. A new employee had accidentally used the mayo knife so they gave me new bread and then they use the squeeze bottle of mayo to prevent cross contamination. Everyone was very friendly, understanding, and aware of how to handle my allergy.

Amazing processes and protocols for safe handling of gluten free sandwiches to avoid cross contact. They explained their protocol to me without me prompting or asking any leading questions, showing me that know how to prevent cross contact.
