I would never have thought to look for safe gf food at a sandwich shop. There are just too many ways to cross contaminate food. But a tiktok got to me so I decided to try! Wow! They wiped down everything, washed hands, changed gloves, used extra paper so my sandwich didn't come into contact with any surfaces, etc. I was a little worried about the mayo because they use a knife to spread it on all the sandwiches and then put the knife back into the container. But they had a squeeze bottle of mayo off to the side that was safe. And the sandwich tasted amazing!

Delicious sub, I had no negative reaction, and I even got a cookie! I had a portabello mushroom with onions, peppers and Swiss on a gluten free sub roll which was delicious and held together even with the juices from the vegetables. The cookie was a snickerdoodle from Udi, and was prepackaged. Great experience, there is outdoor eating on a little patio, and nobody rolled their eyes when I placed my order!

I actually got sick at this one. It was an experience from lack of making sure the roll was actually gluten free. I paid for gluten free roll and when I was eating it I thought OMG this is delicious. I started questioning if it was an actual gf roll and within 4 hours I was sick for almost two weeks :(

Great experience here as a celiac. They go through a lot of steps to avoid cross contamination. I didn't get sick either! Finally

The staff took so much care to clean the counters, the slicer and change out the knife. They all changed their gloves and layed out clean paper. They pulled out fresh condiments as well. We felt completely safe.

Excellent care to wipe down all counter. Used new and clean knife. All employees washed their hands and changed gloves. Paper was laid down on counter so bread did not touch the surface. Meat was freshly cut. Staff couldn’t much more to avoid cross contamination. Very pleased with the attention and care they provided during Friday dinner rush. Thank you!

Holy fuckballs no! No separate prep area, wiping down with used dirty rag was their and I quote “standard procedure”. Who does their education? It isn’t GIG.
No
The gluten free bread was very good. Soft and fresh. Makes it possible to eat a tasty sub again.
Asked me if it was an allergy or preference. Wiped down area clean and washed hands and changed gloves. Gluten free sub roll was great. I was very impressed.
Yes
GF bread is amazing and so soft! I had a cheesesteak and was in heaven! I called in the order so didn’t see the prep but she assured me they take all precautions to prevent cross-contamination. Will definitely eat there again!
$2.50 extra for gluten-free bread. Sandwiches are good. They were pretty good with precautions. Still, if I were super sensitive, I’d be worried about the amount of wheat flour crumbs floating around.

Service took a while. I ordered ahead of time even. I waited around 15 minutes once I arrived and was told it would take longer because of my allergy. Overall bread was hard and fell apart while eating it.

I stopped by on a Sunday afternoon to get a gf sub. They asked allergy or preference, wiped down the counter, put down paper, used a clean knife, changed gloves, and were cool about grabbing toppings from the back. They even moved the sandwich to fresh paper at the end of the line instead of wrapping in the paper that had sat on crumbs. Altogether I was impressed! At most locations I have to correct things as I go down the line, but the two staff who interacted with me here seemed very well trained on gf protocols.

They ask if you have an allergy or preference when it comes to the gluten free bread. After stating I have an allergy they cleaned the slicer, the counter, and all of the staff switched gloves. A new employee had accidentally used the mayo knife so they gave me new bread and then they use the squeeze bottle of mayo to prevent cross contamination. Everyone was very friendly, understanding, and aware of how to handle my allergy.

Amazing processes and protocols for safe handling of gluten free sandwiches to avoid cross contact. They explained their protocol to me without me prompting or asking any leading questions, showing me that know how to prevent cross contact.
