Excellent service. Waitress knew when I told her it was for celiac to have the kitchen change gloves and do the special prep. Wonderful food and I did not get sick.

My wife has a gluten sensitivities. While they knew what gluten was and even remind you when you are ordering online to skip the biscuits food was Mediocre. We had the ribs, pulled pork, baked beans and slaw. She didn’t have a reaction but from the quality of the food we would look for other options.

Celiac safe. Server knew about and made sure cook changed gloves. Got a steak and a baked potato and had no issues.
Was very pleased the times that we have been there to eat. Many choices for my 11 year to pick from. The wait staff was very helpful and insured that they would advise the chefs. All of our food was great and my kid loved her food and had no issues.
Yes
They have a comprehensive allergen menu, and the waiter assured us that the cooks take measures to avoid cross contamination. We were able to eat here with no issues.

The waiter was very knowledgeable about the gluten free menu. The brisket was excellent. My daughter said that the chicken was great also.
Super yummy BBQ and plenty of safe sides
Friday was my 3rd time going to Jim N Nicks. imagine my surprise when the gf menu was 1/3 the size it used to be, they no longer have a dedicated fryer either. on top of that, my son and I are sick from eating here, I can only pay he doesn't get a seizure and heals before school starts next week. Very disappointed to lose one of the few places my family thought we could trust.
No
They put cornbread in the to go box directly on top of my food. Couldn't eat it, had to put directly in trash. They did take care of me the next time I came in, shows they care.
Gluten Free menu. Information available identifying all the allergens in each item. Knowledge server!! Dedicated fryer.

The manager Chris Reeder was AMAZING and very knowledgeable! Our 3 year old has Celiac and is a very picky eater. Chris cooked all of our son's food himself and they do have a dedicated frier for GF food. My son was able to eat fried catfish!!! Chris gave us a bag of the catfish fry to take home with us. Our waitress Trish was fabulous as well! She was very attentive and really cared about my son. We will definitely be back here often :)
Yes
Dedicated fryer, knowledgable and friendly staff, the manager will happily come over ad tell you how they take care for cross contamination - the fries and beef brisket were delish

We went to Jim N Nicks this evening and Jason the manager was awesome. I asked the waitress about gluten free options, she went to get the manager and when he came out the first asked if I had Celiac or an allergy. As soon as I said Celiac he listed everything that was available to me. And yes their fries are in a dedicated fryer. After he discussed my options he went to the cooks and let them know my needs. He was very knowledgable and I felt like this was not a pain like some places make you feel. He told us that they have different cutting boards they can use, change their gloves etc. I was really impressed with their compassion, knowledge and willingness to make every effort to make my dinner enjoyable.
I was hopeful to get a new restaurant that had “gluten friendly” options, but sadly I had a reaction here. I’m not celiac but still pretty sensitive to gluten. I ordered the Brisket Chili and Coleslaw. When I asked to have “gluten allergy” placed on the order for the kitchen to be aware, they didn’t seem to know how to handle this request. The customer service was great and everyone was very nice, but would not recommend going if you have a gluten intolerance or sensitivity. ☹

This place is great - Gluten free are marked on the menu. They also have a warning in the menu that the GF items are prepared in a kitchen shared with wheat and cross contamination could occur.
The waitstaff is knowledge able and the kitchen worked with us.

My husband really loves barbecue, and with this location having gluten-free items displayed on their menu; I thought we would try this place. I noticed that they have outside seating and a bar inside. They bring cheese muffins out when you are seated. I ordered 2 appetizers, a soup and salad, and a potatoe. For some reason, all the food came out at once while I had sat waiting, watching my husband eat the yummy biscuits that I couldn't eat. The food was delicious, but I was frustrated that they brought all the food out at once and didn't even bring the appetizers out as the appetizer. Next time I am in Hiram, we will try this again and maybe I will get to try the barbecue.
