Food here is GREAT! Not as many options as I’d prefer but everything I’ve ever had here has knocked it out of the park. I’ve been multiple times and the staff has been increasingly more knowledgeable and more in tune with the needs of GF customers. I’m genetically not celiac but am just as sensitive as my celiac friend and I’ve never had a problem here. Salads (without obvious gluten topics) are safe and some handheld items can be modified with GF bread (that is sooooo good - always tastes FRESH and looks like multigrain but tastes even better). Pork and grilled chicken are safe. KC BBQ sauce can contain trace amounts of gluten so do avoid this. This picture was of my box when we ordered food online, they definitely go the extra mile. Got a call within 3 minutes of placing my order to ask which side I would prefer as I unknowingly ordered a side that’s cooked in a shared fryer. Definitely check it out, I highly recommend!!

Very disappointing experience. Harrisonburg is my hometown and I'm here for a visit. Looked for some safe options on food. Location mentions Gluten-free on menu. I asked at the door before ordering my food if the fryer is a dedicated fry fryer or shared fryer as this can cross-contact food. Was told emphatically that it would be safe. Dropped $50 for 2 people on food only to have them come out almost 30 minutes into waiting and tell me they do not have a dedicated fryer and my fries would not be safe. I chose to order here for an entire meal. Had I been informed properly I would have went somewhere safe. I was then simply told sorry, had $5 taken off for the fries, and given some bland brisket and sent on my way. Extremely frustrating experience on my first day in town and handled poorly. Don't advertise Gluten-free without properly training your staff. Also if something like this happens management should be the one stepping up to resolve the issue and it should have been a better resolution that returning my $5 and shrugging it off.

Not sure why people are saying few gluten free options … went to dinner and enjoyed brisket, pulled pork and chicken. Sides of mashed potatoes and collard greens were delicious. Our server was knowledgeable about menu items with gluten and even went to speak with kitchen for clarification about one item. Overall confident they took gluten concerns seriously, nice ambience and staff, and good food.

I ate here after visiting a sister restaurant. Sadly, I was sick for days afterwards and threw up 3 times. I had the crab dip and chips with a bacon cheeseburger (gf bun). I was super excited about this place since I go to JMU but will not be returning.

The GF options are next to none, but the salad I had tasted great! The server was very helpful and warned of cross contamination of any of the BBQ meats, and took my concerns seriously. It was disappointing to only have two or three options to choose from though.

The food was really good everyone was very friendly!! As for my Celiac daughter there was two items on the menu that were gluten free... she had the scallops which were good but the only gluten free options were salads and she’s 12 so that didn’t go over very well with her! I would not recommend this place for gluten free people
Yummy food and friendly staff! Lots of options and several modifications can be made to avoid cross contamination!

Didn’t have a whole lot of gf, but their blackened shrimp salad was one of the best salads I’ve had! (Get the honey thyme vinaigrette instead, amazing dressing!) And our bartender was the sweetest!
ordered shrimp and crab roll on gluten free bread. very small sandwich but it was good. they offer gluten free bread and menu is marked with gf items. i have also gotten hamburger without bun.
Ordered the Reuben sandwich with GF bread. Disappointed. Bread fell apart and very little meat. They baked the Brussel sprouts for me to make them GF which were good. They need to change their bread to maybe Udi' s brand.

Ordered the Pork belly shrimp and grits. Soooo good! My mom ordered the pork chop which she said was fabulous! We took our food to-go. Everything was packed nicely, tasted great, and we didn't get sick! Highly recommend!
the food was good. they DO NOT have a dedicated fryer. good gluten free dinner options, not many lunch options
Excellent! Several gf choices. The Sweet Tea pork chop is amazing. Don't skip the roasted Brussel sprouts. They have a knowledgeable staff. Great service. Wonderful food!
