Joy Luck is not a dedicated GF restaurant. I always try to keep that in mind when eating out at a regular restaurant that offers GF menu items. We had a great first experience at Joy Luck in Sandy. We told our server I was a celiac & he guided us through the menu without missing a beat. We ended up chatting with him for awhile after we got our food. He told us they have so many great reviews about their GF food that many people come in believing they are a dedicated GF restaurant & fail to inform their server that they need GF food. He said they deliberately don’t advertise their GF options (which is possible with almost the entire menu) because they are not a true GF restaurant. That said, they do a great job of respecting GF customers. As with any non dedicated GF restaurant, cross-contamination will always be an issue but I did not get sick. I was so happy to finally have an option for good GF Chinese food!
