If you’re looking for good, affordable gluten free Chinese take out near the Oregon Coast Aquarium, this is the place! It’s not much to look at, and I was a little worried but the staff is wonderful and the food hits the spot. Huge portions, I ate leftovers the next day. I did not get sick.

Chinese food is such a rare treat. I ordered shrimp fried rice and chow fung with tofu. It was delicious! They had a GF menu and staff was very helpful.

Amazing gluten free Chinese. So hard to find anywhere in oregon!! I love Depoe bay and always drive here and order enough takeout to eat the whole week of my stay. It’s that good- and it’s celiac safe. They understand cross contamination. Get everything in the black bean sauce that the chicken and string beans come in 🤤

They told us that they did not have public Wi-Fi. However, we were able to find an open wi-fi that we could use.
They have a gf menu and the soy sauce is gf which is a bonus. I did not get sick, however the food is mediocre, not good enough for me to go there again and that’s saying something, because Chinese food is one of my favorites. Atmosphere not so great either, service was not bad.

Food was great. They had a separate gf menu. All soy sauce is gf there. Very friendly and knowledgeable staff.

Lots of GF options, but very liberal use of corn starch, and not so much of spices. The veggies were fresh and not over cooked, and overall the food was fine. Waiter was very knowledgeable about GF diet and service overall was very attentive and friendly.

Waiter was very knowledable about GF and very helpful! They use GF soy sauce! So most items are possible GF. They have dedicated prep area in the kitchen. Food was great and staff very friendly and helpful about things to do in the area. We had the Spicy chicken and sweet and sour chicken and the appetizer soups were also good!

I haven’t had good Chinese food in a decade and this place was amazing. The owners have adapted more than half the menu to be gluten free by using all GF soy sauce. They prepared my dishes by using clean utensils and equipment and I had no reaction. I am extremely sensitive. I wish I lived in the area because I’d eat here regularly!

GF Menu, Lots of Fresh Vegetables
Kam Meng is on the North End of Newport, so out of the way for us, but worth the drive. They have a gluten-free menu and all of the soy sauce on the tables are gluten free. They offer large portions with lots of vegetables that are not overcooked. I ordered the Mushroom chicken stir fry. It was unfortunately rather Bland and I wouldn't order it again. However there are lots of other good options I'd like to try.
An added bonus is that it is very close to the Yaquina lighthouse, which is fun to visit.
The waitress told the chef very clearly of my being coeliac and they use separate utensils and cooking equipment for all prep and cooking. All the soy sauce on the tables is already gluten free and the GF menu is very clear and extensive!
We got the Mongolian beef, chicken fried rice and BBQ pork as an appetizer. Everything was amazing. I haven’t had Chinese since being diagnosed coeliac and I couldn’t have been happier with the food - and neither could my husband! He has no allergies and loved everything we ordered. The portions were massive so we had to get a Togo box.

Super amazing restaurant with knowledge staff. Although GF items are not marked on the menu, don’t be afraid to ask what you can eat. There were tons of options and staff were happy to explain what was GF.
Loved the Kung pay chicken and hot & sour soup.

The staff was knowledgeable and friendly. The food was really good and they have gluten free bbq pork! Haven’t had that goodness since I was diagnosed celiac. Amazing find.

I love this place. Staff is knowledgeable and friendly and while not a dedicated facility, they can alter a lot of menu items to make them gluten free. I’ve eaten there 4+ times now (its become a beach tradition) and not had a problem
Amazing! Waitress was very friendly and helpful with questions and calming my nerves 😊 chef let us know when things on the menu weren't ok and the food was absolutely delicious!! I would totally be willing to drive the 60 miles just to get my safe, yummy gf Chinese food

This was amazing! So hard to find gluten free chinese food and this was incredible. They are good about checking if they are unsure and were accommodating when I wanted sweet and sour chicken with the grilled chicken.
The food was delicious. I substituted the deep fried breaded chicken for pan cooked with the sweet and sour sauce over the top. Then had steamed rice and veggies. I am usually very skeptical because I have celiac and can get very sick if I consume any little bit of gluten , but they were very careful and I left there happy and feeling great!

I loved having teriyaki chicken again-it's been so long!!! The fried rice is delicious too. Even more amazing is the musical genius who sells CDs of her music and will play while you eat. She has had no training in music whatsoever.
This is by far THE best Chinese restaurant for Celiacs (or anyone who enjoys healthy and delicious Chinese food) in the state of Oregon. The owner is extremely knowledgeable about all kinds of food intolerances due to her son's dietary issues. The food is SO good and she makes sure it is totally gluten free. It's a must visit!!!

The owners of this Chinese restaurant are so very careful about preparing my food. As a celiac I find it a bit scary at times to eat out, but not here! After I told them that I cannot tolerate any gluten they assured me that would not be a problem. They can modify many of their menu items, and are especially careful in the kitchen to make sure there is no cross contamination. This is my Go To place to eat just north of Newport.
