The reviews I read about Kobe weren’t stellar but I (Celiac)found it to be very safe; Japanese food usually just is. Our waitress, not a native speaker, even brought me a special little tub of safe soy sause! Deeply appreciated since soy is often iffy.

Be sure to ask your server if they know what Gluten is ..when asking for gluten free they think only soy sauce needs to be gluten free . Not all ingredients that are in their rolls are listed on their menu.

Went for a company holiday dinner and checked the website for gluten free meals prior to going. Only one was listed, so ordered that. Was told by the waiter any meat plate (chicken, beef, shrimp, salmon) with fried rice and veggie could be made separate in the kitchen and they will use gluten free soy sauce. Chose the chicken. Also got the “Kobe green tea” alcoholic beverage and shared a volcano bowl. Huge portions, zero side effects, felt nothing I typically would if I had gotten into gluten. Very impressed. Will definitely go back!
