My husband and I visited this restaurant March 2020. I was very excited about trying it, I’ve heard good things and was excited to sit down at a nice Mexican restaurant. I asked to speak with a manager or a chef, but our waitress insisted that she knew what she was talking about and she didn’t send anyone out. I asked if the chips are fried in a separate fryer and she gave me a short “yes”. All I can say is that I was GLUTENED very badly. Our day in EPCOT turned into a day of running frantically to the bathroom, praying that I’ll make it. We had to go back to our hotel for the rest of the day and I was sick for the rest of our trip. Couldn’t even enjoy the other parks. Would NEVER recommend this restaurant for someone with Celiac Disease.

I visited this restaurant to celebrate my birthday. The food was delicious and I had no reaction. I was able to talk with the chef about my allergies. Dinner was identified with an allergy flag. It's a lot of food, so you can take it for later.p

Extremely friendly staff, almost every menu item clearly labeled as gluten-free. When they brought out the chips and salsa they said the chips might be cross-contaminated, so they brought corn tortillas for my daughter! First question they asked was if they needed to know about any allergies. Definitely recommend!!!

Amazing GF options. I used a Nima sensor and it showed it was all GF for tortillas, salsa, shrimp ceviche, and margaritas.

We ate at the San Angel Inn at Epcot yesterday. The menu has drastically changed since our last visit in January. The chips were not gluten free due to a shared fryer. The only appetizer available was soup. The $22+ tacos (3) come without any sides. My son ordered enchiladas (not gf) and they had no sides either. Check current menus before you go and call ahead. Chef never came to our table.
Fantastic! My daughter has celiac. Menu clearly marks what is gluten-free, and the servers are all very knowledgeable. When there is an item that is not marked as gluten free, our server Gerry was able to tell us what specifically had the gluten (like the tortilla or chips) and offered to bring GF substitute.
They don't have gluten-free tortilla chips, so may want to bring your own for the guacamole and queso, but they will bring you corn tortillas instead to enjoy with these delicious appetizers.
Great service and food! Handles everybody's allergies on our big group perfectly!

Had a meal and tested all of it with my NIMA gluten sensor and all came up GF. Fresh corn tortillas, rice, beans, guac and carnitas. Chef also came out to talk. Good experience.

I have not eaten the food yet, but I have already had a terrible experience. I was looking forward to this place because I read on line the chef helped them out and made something they liked. I told my waiter that I have Celiac disease and the chef came out and pointed at the menu where it said GF next to the items. I'm not a moron! The chef was not helpful, not worth the money. Only here because my family wanted it. I'm sitting here watching my family family eat the chips and salsa, because the do not have have a dedicated fryer. (SHAME!!!!). Go eat somewhere else that is more gluten free friendly and cares about those with Celiac.

The server and chef were very knowledgeable ( both asked If I had an intolerance or had Celiac). My non GF spouse and I shared "parrillada del mar", a mixed grill dish which was served with beans rice, veggies and corn Tortillas which was really awesome! I had not dined here before and I found the decor to be warm and inviting. I recommend this restaurant and will definitely return on my next visit!
Perfect place to watch fireworks in Epcot. Server informed us that almost entire menu is GF. Ordered taco appetizer and Spare Ribs for entree. Food was very good, however, ordered dairy free and beans came out with cheese. Also was told potatoes were DF, then after tasting them suspected dairy. Server double checked and chef said they had "a touch of dairy". Had reaction:(
Excellent service and a lot of safe choices at this restaurant. I really enjoyed my dinner with my family here.
Almost the whole menu is GF with the exception of the shrimp tacos and chips as they don't have a separate fryer. At first I was upset about the chips, but I soon realized that did not matter at all. THE BEST food!! my boyfriend and I got the taco trio as an appetizer since I couldn't have the chips. The best tacos! do yummy. The we got the Del Mar which is a seafood mixed grill with shrimp, scallops and fish. seriously all 3 were heavenly. It came with super good beans & rice, mixed veggies, and the best corn ice ever had. It serves 2. It was served on a skillet so it was very hot. plus we went during illuminations (the Epcot firework show) and it was the best view! They played the music from the show over the loud speaker so we could hear and see show. Definitely recommend!

The restaurant offers a great gluten free option. I always choose the mixed grill for two which is enough food for three people. Price is reasonable at ~$50 for the plate. The chips are gf, but this visit the dedicated fryer was broken. The restaurant has one of the best views in EPCOT. I highly recommend this restaurant for food taste, quality, and atmosphere. Btw, if you like any of the food, they will provide you the recipe.
