Lardo

Like nearly all restaurants in CDMX, GF items are not marked on menu at Lardo. However, the wait staff here is very knowledgeable regarding which of their menu items are GF or can be modified. I had the organic chicken with spinach and artichokes. Sadly, all three items on the plate were overwhelmed by salt, so this place is safe for celiacs, but not for foodies. Only one dessert item on the menu is GF, but it is phenomenal. I highly recommend the chocolate avocado mousse.

Staff were helpful in navigating the menu to find their GF options of which there were a good number. They brought GF bread which was quite good!

Two great muffin options and a range of eggs. Super yummy. Highly recommend the saffron risotto.

Great experience! Staff was knowledgeable and had gf substitutes, like bread for the appetizers. I did just get a salad for my entree, but it was great. Drinks were good too. Would return here.

I loved Lardo so much that I went there about a dozen times in one week for breakfast, lunch, and dinner. There are delicious gluten-free options for every meal, and everyone who worked there was helpful figuring out alternatives to what existed on the menu. I couldn’t recommend a restaurant more, though they can be quite busy, so reservations are helpful.

Lively dining area open to Condesa’s sidewalk culture. They put a lot of care into their food preparation. Not very many gf options, but so nice to be able to enjoy the atmosphere. I had no reaction to the food. The toasted gf bread was delicious with the squash blossom soup.
