Visiting Quebec City and stayed in the Chateau Frontenac, so the restaurant was just q minute long ride down the funicular from the hotel (about a ten minute walk up and down the stairs otherwise). We ordered 3 delicious appetizers to share (2ppl): the shaved duck breast, the rabbit rillette and the white wine fondue -- all served with GF toast. Limited dessert options (local cheeses and a creme brulee). We LOVED our food, though. Highly recommend!
The staff was very accommodating and bilingual.

Went with my husband during a visit to the city and we had an amazing meal. Immediately after taking drink orders, our server asked if we had any allergies or restrictions. Even though they did not have the new GF menu printed up/available, she was able to talk through all of my existing GF options and which other dishes could be modified to accommodate me. They were able to swap out regular wheat bread and croutons for the GF bread they have. I’m very sensitive (Celiac) and had no issues during or after the meal. Would definitely go again and recommend to others.

They do have a gluten free menu which we ordered from and it came with side of barley on the same plate. Upon confronting the waitress she went to speak to the chef and came back confirming that barley is gluten free. I would steer clear.

Had a great dinner experience here! They have a gluten free menu with items marked specifically that are not recommended if you’re celiac (vs just having a gluten sensitivity). They served a separate gf bread basket for me. The food overall was delicious and waitress was knowledgeable. Highly recommend!

We had a fantastic dinner there Saturday night. They have a very good Gluten Free menu that is simply many of their dishes made naturally without gluten. My son is a very difficult eater, he had the gluten free poutine with rabbit (gluten free) so I was able to taste it. As an appetizer I was able to get the rabbit rillettes than had the Cassoulet with duck sausage and a leg of rabbit (naturally gluten free), and my husband had the râble of rabbit (naturally gluten free) , we also shared a crème brûlée, verrine de chocolat. A wonderful meal that I was able to enjoy and everyone else tremendously enjoyed as well. Thank you Lapin Sauté and it’s staff!!!

Old Quebec is one of the most charming places I've ever been, and Le Lapin Saute absolutely fits in with the locale. It's a small restaurant (especially with the patio closed), but we had reservations and our vaccine passports so we got a little table all to ourselves. They have a separate gluten free menu with many delicious choices, but I went with the Cassoulet and had some gluten free bread on the side. The staff was knowledgeable and friendly and I felt confident that what I had was safe for me.

Stopped in for a light lunch. Excellent GF knowledge delightful location in Old Québec.
They had a separate gf menu, and the food was outstanding. Tested it with my Nima (gluten detector) which said it was gf. I would absolutely recommend!

Beautifully situated, good meal!

It’s nice to have a gluten free menu at this tourist-centric restaurant in Old Town, but it’s nothing very special. Most items need extensive modifications (the usual modifications, but also some items made “without bacon”, or “without potatoes” to be gluten free). It’s expensive, and the prices aren’t lower to reflect the missing components. There is gluten free bread, I think it’s Udi’s or something very similar. Try this restaurant if you want a few traditional French dishes but mostly prepare to be disappointed when you see exactly how much has to be changed in order for the food to be gf.
Had a dedicated gluten free menu with lots of good options, including gf toast. Tasty food too.

They have a separate menu showing GF options and adjustments to make certain items safe. Our waitress was very helpful about the menu and even checked where the GF bread was from and wrote it down for me so I could buy some for home (it's the best GF bread I have found since my diagnosis).

Delicious food! They have an extensive gf dinner menu! Great options and felt great afterwards! Would highly recommend...also beautiful ambiance (romantic).

The staff was knowledgeable. My husband and I shared two cassoulets, the cheese plate with GF bread, and the maple creme brûlée. All were delicious and I had no reaction whatsoever! Not food I would have tried before diagnosis, but it was all so good. 😊😊

My family visited Quebec City last week. I had done some research here and online about gf dining choices. I was ready to skip over Le Lapin Sauté because almost everything had rabbit in it (there are non rabbit options too). Boy am I glad we ate here because it was the best meal of our vacation. There is a gf menu, but it was all in French however the waiter translated the menu and was very knowledgeable about what options were safe for me. I had a gf rabbit cassoulet (a bean casserole with a rabbit leg) and maple creme brûlée both which were amazing. The atmosphere is great too, there is an outdoor patio and indoor seating. it is a great place to people watch being located in the lower city.
J'y suis allé pour déjeuné et aucun symptôme. Très bon et services impecables. ils semble bien connaître les sources de Gluten possible, contamination compris. je le recommande.
