Very conscientious about cross contamination and all soups were gluten free. Good curry chicken salad.

Staff is very knowledgeable about gluten free/celiac. No dedicated gf prep area. Was told that most everything there (including salads and gf wraps) has possible cross contamination for those with celiac disease. The gf soups are the exception.
Everything here is great though. If you don’t have Celiac there are plenty of options, and if you do, the soup is still really good imo.

Celiac here. Some of these previous reviews are misleading. Due to the other reviews, I was under the impression that there was a dedicated space. There isn’t, which was disappointing when ordering and I learned this. Staff was very knowledgeable and kind. They said they’d wipe everything down and change gloves, but could not guarantee no cross contamination for celiac. We need to do better to write accurate reviews because it sucks when you select a place reviewed as having a dedicated space and have a group of people follow your plan only to be let down. It’s not the fault of the establishment. They were honest, kind, and accommodating. Reviewers need to do better. Everything on the menu can be made to be gluten free for the most part as they have gf wraps and bread. No separate prepping area.

The staff is very knowledgeable about gluten allergies, celiac in particular. Their menu has many gluten free options and most of their salads can be made gluten free on request. Just tell them your allergies and they will ensure it is made appropriately. Do not order a panini if you need it to be GF, they only have a single grill. Overall the food was delicious, the staff were great and I had no problems afterwards.

All sandwich wraps made with GF (teff) tortilla. Also many dairy free options. All items marked GF or Vegan. I eat here weekly.
I'm sorry and surprised at Kathy's adverse reaction to this cafe. There must have been a serious communication problem. Their soups are nearly always GF. I think they make some of the best GF soups in Bellingham (and it's a short list). The salads are also very good and very generous.
Small unpretentious cafe on a busy one way street in Bellingham. Serves soups and salads. Any sandwich can be made in a gluten free wrap. Good food. Salads are unusually generous and substantial for $8.
Note: In reference to Jen's review, No! Worcestershire Sauce does not contain malt vinegar in the U.S. Both Lea & Perrins and French's are gluten free.

I'm gluten free by necessity. I was given the impression that great care would be taken in prep of my food. Within 20 minutes of leaving, I became very ill with a severe gluten reaction. I don't recommend this place.
Ordered the chicken caesar wrap on a gluten free tortilla. It was delicious, however, the caesar dressing must contain worcester (which usually isn't GF due to the malt vinegar). Either that or the dressing that came on the side salad wasn't GF. I had a reaction. Owners were friendly-just may not have enough knowledge on gluten to be advertising meals as gluten free.
