The chef was very kind and said he’d do his best to avoid cross contamination and wiped off his grill but doesn’t have a separate pan to make the fish in. That being said, my husband who is celiac did not get sick.
If you get the grilled fish (without the seasoning- it’s the Tony Chachere seasoning that is made on shared equipment with wheat) with rice and beans you should be fine! I am not celiac but eat GF because my husband is celiac. I ordered the grilled fish tacos and it came out on a flour tortilla. The fish tacos were ok, nothing to write home about. But the fish itself was cooked perfectly and so delicious! Fries are not GF.

Not good for celiac- the spice they put all over the fish is made on shared equipment with wheat. We were glad they told us to check the spices and didn’t end up eating here.

They didnt understand gluten free, but they explained all the fresh ingredients they used and I was able to get delicious fresh fish grilled with a side of rice and beans.
Excellent fresh fish. I opted for the Island Bowl as the tacos were prepared on flour tortillas. I had the option of 3 types of fish; I opted for the grilled snapper. They offer the fish that is available from the catches that come in each day.
We went again for dinner. I got grouper this time vs snapper - not a good choice. The grouper was tough. Some of the rice was not completely cooked. Dropped Lee Be a star because it was disappointing the second time.
This place was amazing! Such delicious fresh fish! You can get it grilled with a side of beans and rice to be gluten free. No dedicated space, but I'm celiac and didn't get sick. Fish had such great flavor, I can't wait to go back!
