Absolutely delicious! Prepacked pints in the back. Gf cookies for ice cream sandwiches. Loads of flavors. Savannah Socialite isn’t marked gf on the website, but is on the packages. It’s the best!

Most of their ice cream flavors are GF, and to prevent cross-contamination, servers will happily insist on giving you an “allergy scoop” from a fresh container if you so much as ask a question about any allergen whatsoever. I ate there three times and never got sick.

Leopold's is an experience. I was afraid I wasn’t going to be able to partake in this particular tradition during my visit to Savannah because of not being able to consume dairy. I’m happy to say that the waffle cones are dairy free as well as their vegan vanilla and two rotating flavors of sorbet. Delicious, but not worth waiting. We skipped the line and bought a pint to share. Best butter pecan I've had.

I came here based on reviews. Allergen sign clearly states that ice cream is manufactured on shared equipment. Not safe for celiacs, wheat or peanut allergies, or severely gluten intolerant.

Yes, with proper precautions it’s safe……but it’s not good. Super flavorless and the texture wasn’t good. Better off getting the certified frozen Ben and Jerry’s at the grocery store

I am celiac and lactose intolerant and the women behind the counter were delightful. They prepared mine in the back and it was DELICIOUS. I feel totally normal today. There were a few vegan/gluten free options. The product is more than worth the wait.

They did clean scoops from the back out of new containers without any issue. Most of the ice cream is already gluten free and everything is clearly marked. It was delicious! Super slow with COVID so we got in line before it was open and only waited 30ish min. FYI you can go in the “out” door and get a pint to go without waiting too!

I am vegan with dairy and wheat allergies. I had a great experience there. They had two ice cream flavors and multiple sorbets that I could eat. They used ice cream from the back with clean equipment to decrease the chance of contamination. The strawberry and vanilla ice creams were great.

Crazy delicious creamy ice cream. Menu is clearly marked with what is gluten free. I mentioned to our server, who was new, that I was "highly allergic to wheat" which is the only way some understand the intolerance. He did not understand a wheat allergy, but knew enough to ask someone. The server then goes in the back to serve the ice cream with a newly sanitized scoop from a previously unopened container in a special gluten free area. Took longer that the regular orders, but oh so worth it. I got the single scoop of dark chocolate raspberry swirl. This was a big scoop. Not to be missed.

All flavors clearly labeled, as soon as I mentioned celiac they assured me they’d scoop from the back and the worker was incredibly friendly and made me feel like it wasn’t an inconvenience despite being a peak time. And the ice cream was incredible!

This is the best ice cream I have ever had! I have Celiac and Salicylate sensitivity. All GF ice creams are clearly labeled, and the servers are knowledgeable regarding Gluten and CC. They were even able to tell me the ingredients of the ice creams I was interested in. They also go to the back and dip ice cream out of new containers with clean scoops for those with gluten allergies. Tip...get your ice cream to go, head back a block to Reynolds Square, have a seat, and enjoy! We make a point of eating here every time we visit Savannah.

Almost all ice creams are listed as gluten free (with the exception of anything with cookies/cookie dough.) If you let the staff know you have a GF allergy they will not only make sure to sterilize the scoop but will get you a fresh scoop from an unopened container to make sure there is no cross contamination. Highly recommend from the house divided !
