I was a little nervous considering I haven’t had much luck in this area eating out, but I was happy with all of the options (they have GF on the menu)!!!! They brought out special crackers while they brought bread for the rest of the table.. I ended up getting the risotto special and it was delicious so I would definitely recommend!!

I ate here for Sunday brunch. I was very upfront about my allergies and being gluten free. I put my restrictions in my reservation, spoke to the manager, and the waiter. They need up serving me something with my Allergan in it and I went into a severe allergic reaction. Also when I got home( they gave us the food when we had to leave in an emergency) I found a little bit of breadcrumbs on my pork. I would avoid this place if possible. There is a possibility you’re going to get really sick

Waiter was super pleasant. Had the pork shank and raspberry sorbet for dessert
Food was good but server seemed to have limited knowledge about gluten containing foods. Went to weekend brunch which is part buffet and part plated. No gluten free bread or crackers for me. Server said she would check but never brought any or said they were out. She would not tell me what was GF on the buffet portion and told me to just avoid the croutons. I had to ask another server if the soup was GF and he went and asked. It was, by the way. I ordered the osso busco which was marked as GF on menu, later someone from the kitchen said there was a mistake and the dish was not made GF. I had to order something different. At least they told me before I ate it. Overall: food good, my server just didn't want to be bothered by GF customer.
I have eaten at Lidia's KC twice in the past 4 months without any gluten reaction. The friendly staff is knowledgeable and can advise regarding menu selections, although gluten-free options are also indicated with "GF" on the standard menu. Several good meal choices, including GF desserts. I consider this a safe place for celiacs, but as always, it pays to be alert to potential exposure. For example, today our server identified a dessert as gluten-free, but it had a vanilla-whiskey ingredient and whiskey can be made from corn, barley, or wheat. I avoided that dessert option, but there were other safe ones. Today's lunch bill came to $75 for two entrees (which included soup or salad), complimentary water, two desserts, and one coffee, plus a generous tip. Service and decor are superb.

I was at Lidia's for a group celebration with a predetermined menu. However, the wait staff took great care of me and brought me a dedicated GF salad (no croutons), consulted with the kitchen and helped me select a GF entree, and brought me a dedicated GF dessert.
Yes
They have a dedicated gluten free menu which was delicious they even had a gf desert a chocolate cake to die for the waitstaff was just perfect my waitress megan was very sweet knowledgeable and attentive she had plenty of recommendations and provided above and beyond the best service I have had in a while she was more than happy to help with any gf questions and she even brought gf crackers so I could eat the complimentary starter I highly recommend Lydia's in KCMO and I hope you get megan she is awesome!
They have a dedicated gluten-free menu. Unfortunately I ate prior to coming to the restaurant because I did not know they had that option. I will return and try it out.
Not safe for GF eaters!
When I first got to the restaurant, I learned that Lidia's doesn't have a gluten-free menu, but the server can tell you what is gluten-free on the menu. However, when I asked the server about what was gluten-free, that's when the trouble started. Her first response was "well, everything on the menu is gluten-free except for the pasta." To which I started going down the menu listing out the items I knew were not gluten free, including bruscetta, calamari, fried chicken, etc. I ended up ordering mussels and emphasized I wanted no bread on the mussels. When the mussels came, they had a huge piece of bread sitting right on top of all the food.
If they were this careless with the things I could tell had gluten in them, I can't imagine how careless they are in the kitchen with cross-contamination.
