Gluten free menu available, and recently introduced two new GF sides. My wife enjoyed her scallops very much.

Yes, they have a limited menu. The are very aware of cross contamination. Was told fries used a common fryer.

I have eaten here many times over the years and I love how they have a dedicated gluten free menu that is quite large. The staff and kitchen are quite knowledgeable and I’ve never had any cross contamination issues.

They have a gluten free menu. They were also able to accommodate my soy and canola sensitivities. I had the scallops with vegetables. They were excellent! Returned in November 2022. Had combo of flounder and scallops with green beans and mashed potatoes. Very good!!

Long Island Cafe is one of my favorite places for seafood. They have a gluten free menu. It is limited but enough options to enjoy a great dinner out. They understood my requirements. I had a safe and great meal!

The staff wasn’t very knowledgable. The food we did have was pretty good but I did get the squirts after the meal from some cross contamination. You should probably avoid this place if you have Celiac.
No
The staff was rude and didn’t know anything about gluten free or what items on the menu were safe for me. I didn’t get sick, but the food was gross.
GF menu. Had broiled flounder which is caught locally and was delicious. Sides were mashed potatoes and fresh tomatoes. Friends had shrimp and scallops and (not GF) fried oysters. They enjoyed their meals also. Service very good. DEFINITELY call for reservations. It was crowded by 7 pm on a Monday night.
Yes
They try but not sure super careful . I Have had problems here.
Tried to eat here last night after reading reviews & looking at their GF menu online. I was excited to try their highly-rated (Yelp) shrimp & grits, but when we arrived the server told us that their grits are no longer GF because they thicken them with flour. I was bummed but was also willing to find something else. I asked if I could get the shrimp & grits subbed with mashed potatoes. She asked the chef & came back to let us know that their shrimp sauce is no longer GF either. We ended up leaving because we came for the shrimp & grits. The service was fantastic, so I would try again. They had several other options on the menu, but I think it’s important to check with the kitchen about each one. Don’t trust the menu on their website right now (hopefully they’ll update it soon).
TOP 3 MEALS OF MY LIFE. The chef actually came out of the kitchen himself to greet me and make sure my order was correct. I had the oysters & scallops over gluten free pasta with a side of southern succotash. This place seems to be very busy on a Friday night (all of the locals get takeout & the place was booked up with reservations). Spectacular service & even better meal. Even with a dairy intolerance! SO GOOD!
We ate here twice during our 3 day stay because we had such a positive experience. They were knowledgeable of food allergies and willing to work with us with our needs. The children's menu was one of the best we have experienced for my son who likes seafood and is Celiac and dairy free. They worked with him to make a delicious and affordable meal. Very friendly and helpful waitstaff and the food was top quality! Best of all, no symptoms afterwards.
