Despite the warnings, I took a friend’s recommendation and tried Los Dos Portillos. They brought gluten friendly tortillas chips, I asked for safest recommendation for an entree (street tacos), and couldn’t even get through my entree before feeling sick. Barely made it home before all of my dinner went down the toilet. Heed the warnings! Don’t eat here if you can’t tolerate gluten.

Chips are in shared fryers, no item is marked on the menu as gluten free. Servers do not know what is safe. No item is safe from cross contamination here. Would not recommend if sensitive or celiac.

Avoid this restaurant at all costs. I have no idea how in the world the other reviews missed these glaring issues, but here goes.
Everything fried is put in shared fryers. Everything. DO NOT EAT THE CHIPS. They are deep fried in shared fryers.
The corn tortillas are stored in isolated bags, but they heat up all the tortillas on shared space. *IF* you want to risk it and get a "safe" tortilla, then get them served cold.
Fajitas: this is what I had. The steak is marinated with a mix that contains soy sauce. You can ask for steak without marinade but keep in mind the space it's cooked on will still be fried on gluten cooking space. Also, the steak will then be bland. As will the veggies. And you'll probably still get glutened.
I asked the manager to ensure the tools and spaces would be cleaned prior to cooking. But no guarantee is given.
The rice was specifically listed by the waitress as an item not to get due to how it is cooked or marinated.
In short, I DO NOT RECOMMEND this place for Celiacs.

Great food! The green chili is gluten free. Had the potrillos burritos with corn tortillas. I have eaten here several times and never gotten sick.

Make sure you talk to the manager if you have celiac but they will almost always take good care of you. In the morning they prepare chips in a fryer that is fresh so they've got celiac-friendly chips and hang onto them throughout the day that anyone asks for gluten-free items.
Watch out for fried things and get the molcajete or fajitas if you wanna feel very positive about your experience. They hand make their tortillas, so you might have some luck with those but they also carry bagged incase your not wanting to sus everything out and want to feel more confident as their corn tortillas are made in the same area their flour ones are.
