My waiter was absolutely clueless, although willing to help. He spoke to their management for me and suggested fajitas with corn tortillas. I took his suggestion. Didn't get sick, but I wasn't entirely comfortable eating there.
While visiting from California, where gluten free goodies and restaurants abound, I was having a bit of trouble finding a restaurant out in rural LA. I called in the afternoon and the hostess made several trips to the kitchen to speak with the chef. Later at dinner, our waiter also made several trips to speak with the chef, who then modified my entree to make it GF. I had a very tasty seafood chile relleno dinner. Good prices, very friendly and helpful staff, and nice tex-mex food. No GF menu and tortilla chips are not cooked in dedicated oil.
