Knowledgeable and kind staff but lots of cross contamination… almost all GF sauces had large chunks of wheat noodles floating in them. Luckily I noticed but I had to have mine with no sauce. No GF soy sauce.

The manager had the grill cleaned but the was a pineapple in my stir fry which shouldn’t have been. Definitely cross contamination. Will not return.

The staff were extremely knowledgeable and attentive! First time I’ve ever had the service and care in a restaurant bc I must not have gluten. Not only did they tell and show me GF choices, they scrupulously scrubbed the grill, took newly sanitized tools, and worked hard to ensure I’d enjoy my experience and feel safe. Meal was great!! I can’t often say that when eating out.

Our waitress spent considerable time explaining what we could safely eat— the manager personally cleaned a spot on the grill and cooked our meals. Additionally, their rice noodles are with the vegetables to minimize cross contamination— my only minor complaint is that the don’t have any GF soy based sauces, which I would have preferred for my stir fry (the GF sauces are ginger, garlic, lemon, pineapple— but would have loved to have a Mongolian sauce or similar available that was GF).

exellent eats!

When you are seated one of the first things the waiter (waitress) asks you is if you have any allergies. If you say that you are gluten free they will clean off a space on the grill for you. When making your stir fry choose the rice noodles located in the vegetable section. Those are the gluten free noodles. I'm sure if you ask an employee will be able to point them out. All of the sauces that are gluten free are labeled with a small "gf". I eat here quite often.
Having never been there, I was so impressed. They got my sauces from the back to avoid cross contamination, I watched them scrub the flat top so clean! They placed their tools on each side of the area to avoid other food from coming in contact with my food. They use gluten free soy sauce in their fried rice!!! I did not get sick and will return.

The wait staff and the grill staff were both very knowledgeable about celiac! They scrubbed the grill down so well it literally shined! They offered to make my bowl in the back due to a chance of cross contamination, but i chose to take off the line and didn’t get sick. They have very clear signs about what is GF and what isn’t!

Pros: Food safety was amazing, cleaned off a spot on the grill, used clean utensils, they didn't make food in the spots next to my food, and were very careful with cross contamination. The GF noodles are near the veggies, away from the regular noodles completely. The sauces that are GF or Vegan have the little "GF" or "V" on the sign. I see other reviews saying it tasted bland. If you have noodles in your bowl you need to add roughly 6 or 7 scoops of sauce and MUST use some dry spices (all dry spices are GF but are not labeled GF) Cons: Only 1 kind of GF noodles sadly, the meat and vegetables do not have any sign for GF or vegan. There website IS up to date allergy list, "as far as I know" the waitress said (There crab is contaminated) and unfortunately there is suppose to be a walk way on both sides of each food area and there was not for the meat and sauce, which could very well lead to cross contamination. Overall I say 4/5 stars. I didn't get sick from it and there isn't much the current staff could do about any of the cons I have listed because they were all highscool/ college students.

The food is bland, but the food safety is excellent. You can eat a lot of food with one small bowl. That's really the charm of this place.

a separate section on the grill was scrubbed clean for my gluten allergy... and i mean scrubbed. i have been there 5+ times now and have not had a bad experience with cross contamination. all of the veggies are gluten free (obviously), and there are pad thai noodles separate from the regular noodles. i would say the sauces are the most limited section for people with a gluten allergy, but that doesn’t bother me. but the BEST part about this restaurant is that they have always been so accommodating to my gluten allergy. i have had awful experiences at other restaurants and have been made to feel like my gluten allergy is such an inconvenience, but i have never felt this way with the staff at mongo’s. i just let my server know and they will notify the cooks so they can start scrubbing
