Review of Marcus Majestic Cinema

I went to Marcus Majestic last evening. I do not have Celiac, but my daughter does. I am doing the Gluten Free diet with her. I ordered Gluten Free Pizza, 10 min later I was told they were out of Gluten Free Pizza crust. I asked for a menu, 10 mins later I was told they were unable to locate a menu, but they had Gluten Free buns and could make me any sandwich or salad. I ordered a Caesar Salad with Grilled Chicken and verified that it was Gluten Free and did not have croutons. I received my salad. The theater is dark and I began eating. I bit into a crouton. I started removing the croutons via the small light on the table. Then I bit into a small, hard, pea sized piece of plastic. I could not tell what it was. Our server checked on us and I told him my salad had croutons and I bit into a piece of plastic. He apologized and offered me another salad. I told him I did not want another salad or to be charged for the first salad. He checked with his manager and stated there would not be a charge for the salad, and we could have a complimentary dessert. They do not have any Gluten Free desserts, but I picked one and gave it to my husband.

My daughter was recently diagnosed with severe Celiac Disease. The smallest amount of Gluten will give her severe abdominal pain. The croutons in the salad would have been a serious problem. I will not let her eat here.
