Review of Marcus Majestic Cinema

I am still very new to eating gluten free. I was diagnosed NCGI about 1 month ago after 2 months of severe, disabling illness. I have eaten successfully twice now at the "big screen bistro" part of this theater. They have a separate gluten free menu. This menu is based on gluten free alterations to their regular menu items, but it does explicitly list all alterations that must be made in order to make a regular menu item gluten free. The first time I went there, I was told that they have a separate area of the kitchen which is used to make foods for those who say they have special diet/allergy needs. I was told that they toast their gluten free buns in a shared toaster, and they have shared frier oil, so no fried foods and sandwiches at your own risk. Also, they have no gluten free dessert offerings. Overall, I can't recommend them to Celiac's, although I can't recommend against them either. I don't believe I have suffered from any cross contamination, and they seem to take providing gluten free food seriously, but I don't know that they are set up to make sure there is absolutely no risk of cross. This applies only to food prepared through the big screen bistro. I will not be trying the regular theater food now that I have to be gluten free, and I have not vetted the places attached to the main theater entrance.
