We were traveling thru, stopped for the night, and found Mari Chuy's on FMGF. This place is a jewel! Sergio was fabulous & knowlegable, the food was delicious, and the atmosphere fun! I had the jicaima tacos--absolutely mouthwatering. They make the cilantro lime sauce in-house, which is the best i've tasted. Hubs was impressed with the Carne Asada, too. Worth a return trip to Reno for this food & service!

I went to the Rancharrah location. I told the server I was celiac and asked if the chile verde enchiladas were gluten free. He said he would ask the head chef to he sure. They were delicious but by the time I got home, I was sick with GI issues and a heart rate of 115 (this is how I react to gluten). Sad.

While the service a little slow as stated in other reviews, we did have a safe meal. I had the chicken nachos and my son had chicken fajitas. The chips were safe and they were helpful.

Service was terrible! We had to flag down a waitress after 15 minutes of sitting and waiting for anyone to come to the table. Food sat in the order window FOREVER so by the time food got to anyone it was cold and didn’t taste well. Our table was only visited three times during the whole experience and we were there almost two hours due to the terrible service wait.

Server appeared familiar with gluten free options.

The menu did not indicate what items were GF but had a statement on bottom that most items could be prepared GF. My celiac daughter had the chicken fajitas with white corn tortillas and they were excellent. She also had the chips and rice with no reaction. I am not celiac but had the blackened salmon which was also excellent. Loved this restaurant. Service is slow but worth the wait as it is one of the best GF places at which we have dined out in a long time.

Food was GREAT! All of the menu is GF except flour tortillas. Even the chips are in a dedicated fryer, which can be hard to find! My server wasn’t overly convincing that he knew about safe handling practices, but I had no issues from eating here.

They have an open garage door siding and lots of patio seating so it is social distancing friendly dining.

Go Here! Chuy & Maria do it right. Flour and corn have separate fryers. Sauces are gluten free. They totally understand cross contamination. The food is spectacular. Please visit this restaurant for great mexican food. I was so happy, I cried and hugged Chuy!
