We stopped for lunch. They have a cauliflower crust pizza option available and all their basic pasta dishes can be made with gluten free noodles. Waitress and chef are knowledgeable and can answer questions. All of their sauces are gluten free. Will definitely be back.

Don’t even bother. I tried to simply place an order to go - felt pretty comfortable based on the reviews. I am a celiac. The girl answering the phone was rushed and annoyed when I tried to ask her what gluten free options they had. She said we have pasta and pizza. Ok - well what pastas are appropriate I asked. What do you mean she said….I mean - is the Alfredo gluten free - ‘no ma’am’ she said. With not a single care about what I was actually asking - annoyed that I was even asking. Just avoid this place.

This is a fantastic experience for us! My celiac son ate a cauliflower crust pizza, and had zero reaction. The staff was friendly, courteous and knowledgeable. We will definitely be back!

The waiter calmed my nerves by explaining that all of the staff are trained in understanding what celiacs is. Despite not having a separate gluten free menu they can make a large portion of their dishes gluten free safely. The food was delicious. I had the chicken la rosa

The hostess was very polite and knowledgeable. She was able to tell me their gluten free options at once when I asked if there was a gluten free menu. The waitress was similarly knowledgeable and considerate. Furthermore, the kitchen was very communicative about our order via the waitress. She even came out to see if it was ok that our orders would be delivered separately because the chef had to change aprons, preparation surfaces, etc. for the gluten free food. The meat-lovers pizza, Popeye’s pizza, and penne with meat sauce were amazing (all GF). The medium pizzas were actually normal-sized medium pizzas! That may sound like a strange comment to some, but GF pizzas are usually small, personal sized pizzas. My husband and I could have easily shared a single GF pizza, as we had nearly a full one left-over. Only half of our party was GF and one of the non-GF kids ordered chicken fingers. The attentive owner stopped the waitress on her way out of the kitchen, alarmed that she was taking gluten out to “the gluten free table.” Obviously, this was acceptable under the circumstances but I was impressed at the level of attention to detail. When it came time for dessert, I asked about the delicious-looking house-made gelato… while most of them had no gluten-containing ingredients, they were once again exceptionally well-aware and said they would recommend against the gelato because the room where they make fresh (high-gluten flour) pizza dough daily is in the same space as the gelato and the flour gets into the air and therefore probably into the gelato. Overall, we had a wonderful experience and a full day later I can vouch for their effective prevention of cross contamination. My celiac family had a delicious meal and haven’t suffered for it one bit. We plan to come back on our vacation next year!

It was amazing! we had a super nice server and the gf pizza was amazing! i would totally recommend taste like regular pizza! im really picky and can usually tell the difference but this i couldn’t! oh and the gelato was super good!

Ate there in early May 2021. Have been a customer many times. Food was good as usual, but portion sizes were smaller and prices were higher. Had a meal that had 3 types of shrimp dishes and they only gave me the GF pasta with one (and it was small). My other two just had their lovely sauce going to waste on the plate with no way to gather it up.

I am always hesitant to dine at a place that offers no gluten free menu. But I will have to say, I was very impressed as the waiter was extremely helpful to help narrow down just what I wanted. There are pasta options, pizza options, but I wanted seafood and went with the grilled salmon with green beans and rosemary potatoes. It was absolutely delicious! And they even have homemade sorbet for dessert. A bit pricey, but a great option for a nice meal!

They have a delicious cauliflower crust pizza. Very informed about gluten free.

Wow, I don't think I could write a good enough praise for them. This place was amazing. I'm celiac and a good restaurant with pasta is rare. Menu well marked, server (Cory) was well knowledgeable of my situation. Management took the time to check in on us. Just awesome. Oh and the food was the best I've had out in a longtime. Highly recommended.

Decent pizza. VERY large, which is a change. Obviously inquire about toppings before ordering, as you would anywhere. Our waitress however was very awkward and didn't know anything about gluten. We had to be very firm and double confirm with her on our order.

I was told only the pizza crust and the pasta was gluten free...the toppings were not! stay away!!

I have celiac disease and came across this restaurant as I was there visiting. Worst pizza I have ever had in my life. Pizza was all soggy not to mention the crust wasn't cooked right. I just couldn't eat it. My GF had the lobster Mac. She took two bites and just asked for a box to go. The bill came out too 44.00 dollars. We were like wow!. We could of had a 5 star meal for that price. Please don't go there not worth the money. Not to mention the cross contamination.

Best gluten free pizza I've had! You can't even tell it's not normal pizza; it just taste like regular thin crust. Also, the service was beyond amazing! My clumsy self knocked my pizza off the stand and onto the floor, the waiter willing got the manager to come ask if we wanted another pizza on them!

Great gluten free veggie pizza full of many different veggies. My family has Marios delivered every week because it's fabulous!

They have gluten free penne pasta, but the chef could not confirm if the red or cream sauce were GF so he did olive oil and garlic with grilled chicken... My daughter loved it! They did have GF pizza crust and said that all the toppings were GF, though we didn't order it this time. We talked to the manager who talked to the chef... Waiter was new, but more than happy to ask the chef questions for us!

The rest of us had regular pizza and pasta trio and it was good!

Pizza ok. They don't carry Bards beer anymore now they have Redbridge and only two of those. Maybe if you stock more the sales would be more

We ordered a GF pizza as well the GF penne. Both were outstanding!!! I highly recommend this place. To top off the meal we ordered the GF chocolate cake - delicious! Very rich - you can split one. For GF dieters Mario's is a must!

Great service - they remembered all of our special requests, no mistake. All pizzas offered with GF crust and GF penne pasta can be prepared. Excellent GF chocolate torte for dessert. Prices were right for the quality and ambiance.

They do have a GF menu (doesn't show up with the filter). Pasta and pizza--GF options. Oh, and dessert!! Server was knowledgeable and attentive. I don't usually get to really enjoy Italian food out--I'm limited to a salad or some bland chicken dish. This was fab. The fact that they had a dessert ( other than vanilla ice cream) put the icing on my cake. This is my island go-to place.

Safe gluten-free pizza, a real treat for my kiddos. Everything else was good, too, but pricey relative to quality ... maybe that's just island prices.

Fantastic meal at the Mario's on Seawall (not the 61st location).

I enjoyed gluten-free and dairy-free shrimp pasta pomodora, italian salad, and flourless chocolate cake to finish. All was prepared according to my dietary needs and the service was impeccable. Great, friendly staff, and one particular server named Julian was especially knowledgable regarding gluten-free options. They also can prepare pizza gluten free and dairy free, which I look forward to trying next time around!

Picked this resturant, as from reviews it looked good for gluten free. Checked when we arrived if they had a gluten free menu. Lady said yes sure it's on the original menu. Sat down and ordered. Lady who took our order couldn't understand English. Kept checking with her that it is gluten free. She took our order and went to give it to the kitchen. Next she came back saying no we can't have that. No gluten free only pasta. She took another order from us. And then said no can't do that. She walked out. So I chased after her and asked what is going on. She said the manager is busy. Then 5 minutes later the manager arrived ( 16 year old girl) and said we only have pasta that it is. As it's spring break we don't have anything else. Well one your lady on reception should know what she is going. And two the chefs should know how to order correctly! We ended up walking out! An they still charged us for our drinks. Appalling service... Never again! Does not understand what gluten free means...
