They bring chips in a bag if you ask for gf. I had guacamole and carne guisado with refried beans and rice. It was delicious! No reactions.

GF items marked on the menu. They have GF chips and salsa upon request. The waitress added an allergy marker to my meal for the kitchen. Great Tex-mex place! We ate here a lot before I was diagnosed and I’m glad we still can.

Great margs and GF chips come in a separate packages. My enchilada had many bones in it but the Fajitas are good
It will be strictly a margs and queso place for us from now on.

Every Maudie’s we have been to they have been extremely knowledgeable and very careful. They have a dedicated celiac prep/kitchen space. They also bring chips in their own bag so you know they were not used in the same oil as gluten. Very safe! If you’re ever unsure, always talk to their friendly managers :)

I eat here frequently and have never gotten sick. They have separate chips and bring separate salsa. Everything is just delicious! And the margaritas are fabulous too!
When I found I could no longer eat at Chuys, Maudies was right there to pick up my gf pieces. Delicious food, many choices, knowledgeable staff, prepackaged gf chips & my own bowl of salsa!!

This place was fantastic! They brought gf chips in a sealed bag, upon request, and everything on the menu is noted gf or can be made gf. The Diablo queso was tasty and so were the spinach, mushrooms enchiladas. Finished the meal with the Miles of Chocolate -which is naturally gluten-free. Can't wait to go back!
Well trained staff. Let them know you have celiac and they will bring you prepackaged gluten free chips. Many gluten free option. If you want Tex-Mex, skip Chuy's which has gluten in just about everything and come here.
My fav for GF Tex Mex. Huge gluten-free menu. The chips they bring to the table are not gluten-free, however they have gluten free chips they can bring you in a bag & they are very good. The food is always excellent! They also have gluten-free beer.
Good food, LOTS of choices--gluten free menu is almost as big as the regular. Knowledgable staff--they always bring a separate bowl to split queso when we order a large and there are gluten free and possibly not gluten free chips on the table--you don't usually even have to ask.

Their food is always excellent and the staff are friendly.
A good, predictable GF option in our area. They have GF chips that are sealed in a separate bag and don’t share the same fryer. Lots of GF items on the menu and they are very amenable to modifications to the menu. No cross-contamination issues in the four years since my son’s diagnosis.

Stopped here for a quick breakfast taco. My waiter and the person who delivered my breakfast both kindly assured me that it would be GF, and it was (as well as yummy and filling). Their tortilla chips, however, are not GF -- but you can request some, which will come in a plastic bag. Sadly, I found that out belatedly, because the guy who dropped off the chips nodded when I asked if they were GF. I asked my server to confirm, and he promptly grabbed the chips off the table and got me the plastic bag of obviously less yummy, but safe, GF chips. All in all, recommend. Plan to patronize this chain again when I'm back in Texas.

Tons of options on the menu - tell the staff you are GF and they will bring you separate bagged chips and salsa. corn tortillas are steamed separately and other precautions are taken. A great celiac safe choice in Austin!

Maudie’s had patient servers, and could make almost anything on the menu gluten free! Our server was knowledgeable and chill, got us our own unopened bag of gluten free chips, and answered any questions we had. I order the Strait Plate gluten free, three loaded beef enchiladas with fried eggs on top. My partner got grilled shrimp fajitas and black beans. They even have a couple of gluten free deserts to choose from and in house ice cream <3
100% recommend!!! We’ll be back.

Food tasted great. I got glued. They were not careful, despite being told I’m strictly gluten free.
