Clearly the name of this restaurant tells all. Vegan and GF. Focused on wellness eating. Very good. Staff very in tuned to CD requirements. I was recovering from a bad experience elsewhere and needed to be somewhere I could trust. This place fit the bill. The grill was cleaned for my meal. Food was very good. Staff kind and helpful.

The GF “beignets” are a baked donut and not even a good one .

Was able to order the gf gumbo and the server was asking everyone in line if they needed a gluten free meal automatically (so you know you’re safe). Missed out on the gf beignets. They were sold out by 12 pm!

Cashier was obviously not interested in his job and was on the phone while taking orders. Despite that they had very good signage next to each dish and had GF jambalaya and gumbo. They use okra to thicken their gumbo so no flour needed! Prepared separately and came with gf bread, which wasn’t clear to me on the signage so a pleasant surprise!

I was a little nervous to eat here. Most of the 41 reviews were positive, but there were a couple of hiccups. It was very busy, but the young lady who took my order mentioned they are careful to insure no cross-contamination. I had a po-boy shrimp with potatoes and a honey-sweetened lemonade. I am very sensitive to gluten, and I was fine! It is annoying I check my watch to make sure I am home 3 hours later, in case. And, I must trust the kitchen staff, the chef. But, once again, I was fine, and it was very tasty, a bit spicy. I finally had a po-boy in New Orleans. The gluten free French baguette was small but tasty

The gumbo was super watery and had zucchini and red beans in it. It also lacked flavor. I have had gluten free gumbo at different places and this was a definite let down
I felt fine afterwards but was not confident at all after my experience. I confirmed the gumbo was GF and ordered it, specifying I needed GF. After and extremely long wait, I was handed a bowl of gumbo (thankfully covered) and a wrapped thing on top. The cashier said it was bread - when I asked if it was gluten free bread, he acted surprised and said "I think so." I must have looked perturbed because he volunteered to check. Yeah, it was NOT GF. He took it back and did offer to get me GF bread but I declined after confirming that the gumbo actually was GF.
Gumbo was fine. I did not get sick, but the whole thing made it clear the fact that I'd ordered gluten free was never communicated to the back.

Bread came with gluten free order, gumbo wasn’t super flavorful, nor was it worth the $17 price for the size cup received.

GF gumbo was delicious. Crab cakes are nothing amazing. Not a personal fan of the GF Po Boy as it just doesn’t hold a candle to the non-GF version. Separate GF prep table and cleaned griddle before making my meal. One of several amazing GF establishments in the French Market. Left plenty full and happy.

Terrible. $39 for a little crab cake, “gumbo” with just chicken and an order of a few inedible cold hard “beignets.” I had to go back and ask them to put sausage and shrimp in our gumbo. One of the servers tried to tell me that it’s whatever you get in your bowl. Luckily, there was someone more professional there to assist and correct the problem. Won’t be back. The First server also said she was going to bring our food to us. She never did, so I heard my name being called and so I went over. I would’ve been happy to but she told me she was going to come over. Very strange.

This is a stand in the open part of the French market. I would not call this a “cafe”. Not the nicest setting. Glad we checked it out before we went there for breakfast.
Best gluten free food I've had in a VERY long time. Staff is knowledgeable and friendly. Able to answer questions on the spot without hesitation. If I lived closer I'd go broke eating the gluten free crab cake sandwich!

Me and my wife (both celiac) ate here everyday we were vacationing in New Orleans. It's a booth in an outdoor market, so we were hesitant regarding cross contamination, but they clearly take necessary precautions and reassured us it'd be safe. It's expensive, but I'd absolutely recommend - You can get real gluten free New Orleans food - Shrimp Po Boy, Gumbo, Red Beans and Rice, and some sandwiches with impossible meat. Felt nice to know we had a daily safe, fresh, healthy-ish option! Make sure to double check the hours - the market isn't open too late.

Located in the French Market. Delicious VEGAN GLUTEN FREE gumbo! I can’t believe I can write that sentence! Meat and veggie options available. Super nice service. Gluten free bread available as a side. Very careful with precautions- I said gf, but didn’t specify celiac when I ordered the bread cautiously as a side, but he said- don’t worry you won’t get sick. And he was right :)

The owner does an amazing job of making some fantastic Louisiana cuisine gluten free and vegan. They are happy to talk through the menu and accommodate any allergy as much as they can. I have been going here for years as my parents are local and I was born in Louisiana and I am so happy there is a gluten-free place in the French Market that accommodates my allergies and has fantastic gumbo and crab cakes! Don’t tell my grandma but his gumbo is better than hers!
