The gluten free pizza was very good, I’m just not sure it was “gluten free” friendly. I believe it was the reason I don’t feel good today.( ; _ ; )

I don’t have Celiacs. However some severe stomach issues recently had my doctor put me on the low fodmap diet. So this is the second time that I have ordered food here since making this life style change. I have to cut out many things but in pizza I have to watch gluten, certain toppings, onion and garlic. So I ordered my gluten free pizza with olive oil not tomato sauce because every sauce has garlic or it says spices. My pizza comes with sauce which I didn’t check because last time it didn’t. I didn’t realize there was sauce on it right away because I can have tomatoes and had added them to my pizza. I decided to call them back to investigate whether I just ate garlic. They put the manager on the phone. When the manager came on he said there was no garlic in their sauce and put me on hold to confirm. Well it turns out that it doesn’t say garlic it says spices. The reason I’m upset is because when he didn’t see garlic he kept saying you will be okay, and you won’t get sick. He kept repeating it. I finally said “Look you don’t know if there was garlic on the pizza, because you don’t what spices means, but regardless I didn’t ask for sauce, I’m not going end up in the hospital or try sue are anything crazy if there was but you can’t be sure there wasn’t. I won’t no until tomorrow if there was garlic and you have no idea how my body will respond to it if there was garlic, please stop acting as if you did nothing wrong.” Thankfully he didn’t say anything else about how my body would respond. Mistakes happen but to then try to brush it off like it was nothing is frustrating. They remade my pizza correctly and ended up giving my husband a gift certificate for the cost. However if there was garlic I’m not sure what will happen it took over 6 weeks of detox to stop my stomach pain and I’m not sure how much or little will negatively affect it now. Be careful with what you order and expect them to make excuses if they mess it up.
Nice people, nice menu and healthier choices than most, unfortunately the guys behind the counter who prepare the pizzas DO NOT ALWAYS FOLLOW PROCEDURE given them by the company to insure gluten free. Eaten the pizza several times, but last time I got sick, and if you’re allergic to gluten like I am, you know when you’ve been burned. Managers are unable to make sure workers use the process in place. Eat at your own risk.

Gf pizza here is great - as is the other food!
Absolutely brilliant. Dining experience is okay but the pizza is fantastic.
First gluten free pizza I'd every had. It is now my go to. :)
Never had a bad GF experience at Mellow Mushroom. They know how to handle the food, and their gluten free crust is amazing!
The Gluten Free Pizza crust is amazing. The staff is very knowledgeable and caring. They will make every effort to eliminate cross-contamination.
I ordered the 12inch gluten free pizza without cheese, caramelized onions, black olives and mushrooms. The pizza was ok and not my favorite dough made from sorghum, amaranth, teff and tapioca flour blend plus xanthum gum as it was a bit chewy. The Angry Orchard cider was good and the service was good too.

Went here with my GF kiddo. The staff was very friendly. Let the server know about the celiac. Told us which of the pizzas were GF. Kiddo decided on plain cheese. We were told they changed gloves, separate oven, etc., for gf. Good experience!
