Staff was knowledgeable, but Pizza fell short. We ordered the Gluten-free House Special. Topping were great. Not enough meat for my liking. Pizza Crust not cooked enough or toppings too wet for pizza. They carry the SweetStreet GF Brownie which is an outstanding product. Didn't order it cuz my stomach was full of GF raw pizza crust.

I used to go to Mellow Mushroom too much when I lived in Savannah and I could eat gluten. I know what their real pizza tastes like. But I haven't been in years because of my diagnosis. I'm sad. This was not a good gf pizza. The crust is tasteless! Mine was also slightly burned around the edges. Plus, they are honest and tell you what toppings you can have to minimize cross contamination. I had the GF Veg Out. It's just a bunch of raw vegetables thrown on the tasteless gf crust. Raw onions, raw green peppers, canned olives, singed and limp spinach. With all the sauce, it was just soggy with raw veg. Just a bad salad on bad dough.

My waitress didn't inspire confidence and came back to confirm my order, with a questioning voice, twice. But when it came out and I saw my pizza compared to my husband's pizza, I knew it was gf. It looked so sad compared to his beautiful and delicious looking normal pizza.

Sorry, I won't go back.

Wherever we travel I am always happy to find a Mellow Mushroom & this one in St Augustine did not disappoint! I always feel safe eating at MM. The wait staff is knowledgeable. I have a severe dairy intolerance as well as celiac. This MM is awesome, bonus we were allowed to bring our dog, seating on the patio!

(Review from a local) We eat here and get delivery regularly. They’ve never gotten us sick. Best celiac experience we’ve had at a restaurant ever! They are as good as some Disney restaurants when it comes to allergies!! They have a separate prep space and allergy oven. They use corn masa to roll their regular pizzas instead of flour so airborne gluten isnt too much of an issue. We were able to speak directly with the manager and he made the pizzas himself to ensure no cross contamination and myself and my celiac son felt great after. Also, they carry glutenberg beers for those that like to enjoy a certified gluten free beer with their pizza.

We had a wonderful time my husband and daughters are gluten-free and my husband is also alpha gal positive. We shared with the server or assorted food allergies and she was awesome with recommendations. We loved the gluten-free pizza and the appetizer wings were to die for.

Staff was very knowledgeable about celiac and the gf offerings. The server explained that not all of the typically gf items (like pineapples) are on their separate gf line but the ones indicated in the menu are (pineapples don’t belong on pizza anyway). My daughter was very pleased with both the flavor and the portion size of her small pizza. Thanks! We will return!

Mellow mushroom was delicious. We live nearby and whenever we need a quick dinner we order on the phone then go and pick it up. They use a separate oven and I have never gotten sick. We are so happy to have it right near our house.

Amazing GF pizza, they're sauce is unbelievable. Very good price at 11.99 a pizza plus cost of toppings but ya don't even need 'em. Pizza is that good.

I was here last week and had a pizza out for the first time in over two years and it was FANTASTIC. They use smart flour crust and I had green pepper and bacon on mine. Not only that but it was a good sized pizza (12") and I was able to take some home.

This is the best gluten free pizza that I have ever had. Everything is prepared separately and is free of cross contamination. I am very sensitive and had no problems at all. The staff is very well trained and my waiter was wonderful. The waiter reported to us that many people with out allergies come in for the gluten free pizza because it is their favorite. I highly recommend Mellow Mushroom.

They just get it. They handle the GF pizzas in a separate area. You can have hummus with veggies too. Great atmosphere and someplace my son who has Celiac can go and eat with friends and he's safe.

I'm super sensitive to cross contamination and did not get sick. They go to great lengths to keep their pies safe (dedicated space, change apron and gloves, etc). Great pizza, great staff. A definite must go!

Service was great. Pizza was good but not great. I was hoping for better crust on it. The crust was really thin and soggy in the middle (although I like and am used to the thin gluten free crust). It was one of the better gluten free pizzas I've had, that's for sure, just was hoping for a bit better crust from a place that was rated 5 stars.

Awesome service. My wife is G-F and we're both dairy free. This pizza place has Daiya Cheese and GF crust. It is great. It is served by someone with gloves and the pizza is cooked on a special tray to keep it clear of other crusts.

4 stars pending 5, once we come back (pretty sure it is inevitable, the mushroom pizza had my husband licking his fingers, sadly the toppings aren't guaranteed GF ) I had the GF Kosmic Karma. The crust had good chew and flavor, and the toppings were tasty despite my congestion and inability to properly smell. I definitely recommend this place.

Pizza was a definite 5stars. I'm not GF, but my husband, who is, and I shared a pizza. We both thought it was great! I did, however, have to take away a star for the difficulty in getting there and poor parking options. It took us so long to travel from I-95 (8mi: 105 min round trip) we called in the pizza to go and just ate it in the car. Good thing, too , bc they were packed with a long waiting line and we couldn't 'to find a place to park even just to grab our to-go order!

I ordered the 12inch gluten free pizza without cheese, caramelized onions, black olives and mushrooms. The pizza was ok and not my favorite dough made from sorghum, amaranth, teff and tapioca flour blend plus xanthum gum as it was a bit chewy. The Angry Orchard cider was good and the service was good too.
