Three of us have celiac and enjoyed two of their pizzas. The waiter was knowledgeable and indicated they have a separate prep area as well as toppings that are separate. He did indicate that they go through the same oven but they use specific trays to avoid contamination. None of us got sick and would go back.

Wonderful service and delicious food! I have been here several times for the gluten free pizza and salad. The server we had last night was very knowledgeable about GF options.

Service was great! I ordered a GF crust and built my own pizza. Unfortunately the GF crust only comes in small so a family would have to get all individual. There was also a $3 upcharge, but the taste and quality are worth the price in my opinion. As I ordered the waitress asked me immediately if I have Celiac, which I think is wonderful.

We always have a good dining experience with Mellow mushroom But today was great! Our server was on top If it my son’s pizza came Out separately and was cooked/prepared safely.....he enjoyed it! The rest of us enjoyed our meal, as well! Thank you for going the extra steps to create a separate area for gluten free pizzas to be prepped and cooked!

I am allergic to dairy and trying to do no grains, so I got vegan cheese and a gluten free crust on my pizza. I’ve had quite a few store bought and restaurant vegan pizzas and this was one of the worst. The crust is tough and not tasty. They skimp on the sauce. And there was only a tiny bit of the vegan cheese and it wasn’t the kind that melts very well, so it was like little spots on the pizza. Considering you pay much more for the alternative “cheese” and crust options, it really wasn’t worth it. Will never go there again.

Sensitive Celiac here and I eat at this Mellow Mushroom probably once a month. I’ve not had issues here. I find that they take their procedures seriously and have had good luck here! We usually get the Cosmic Karma or Veggie Lovers GF pizzas 👍

Staff very knowledgeable. Dedicated oven. Menu clearly labeled and even brought out the pizza to the table wearing a glove.

Last time I ate here with my husband and 2 year old son we all got horribly cross contaminated, even after making sure to tell the waitress that we all had a severe allergy :/ if you have celiacs, don’t chance it. It’s not worth it.

After reading the reviews I was kind of nervous, but I ordered a gluten free pepperoni pizza and let them know I had celiacs and could have no cross contamination. I ended up NOT getting sick or having any symptoms, so I’d assume it’s safe. It’s always a risk though going out somewhere!

I love the St. Louis location and thought would be safe, but suffered all night after eating here.

Outstanding service ! All products were available! Clean and family friendly atmosphere. Tried The House Special topping on my GF crust excellent! The hot wings are GF TOO! Can’t go wrong here !!

I ate here on Friday for lunch. I let them know I’m celiac and the waiter assured me they were very familiar with CC protocol etc. my stomach started hurting within 1/2 hour of eating :( I am pretty non-symptomatic usually so was surprised that i felt this way right after eating the pizza. Seems their procedures weren’t safe enough 😢

GF pizza looked amazing, but it turned out the crust had a burnt flavor to it and it was very dark. Everyone knows GF crust are temperamental and very easy to burn. When I mentioned to the server that it looked fabulous but it was a bit burnt they immediately made me a new one and assured me they wanted me to have a perfect Pizza today. I'm incredibly psyched! Manager Matt did an awesome job as did server Justin. Kudos. Highly recommend...!

Gluten free pizza available with many topping choices. Thin crust. Ours was a little overdone, but otherwise good. Rest of our party really enjoyed the non-GF pizza too. Creative topping options. GF hard cider available. Service could have been friendlier during our visit.

I ordered the 12inch gluten free pizza without cheese, caramelized onions, black olives and mushrooms. The pizza was ok and not my favorite dough made from sorghum, amaranth, teff and tapioca flour blend plus xanthum gum as it was a bit chewy. The Angry Orchard cider was good and the service was good too.

Went here with my GF kiddo. The staff was very friendly. Let the server know about the celiac. Told us which of the pizzas were GF. Kiddo decided on plain cheese. We were told they changed gloves, separate oven, etc., for gf. Good experience!
