Milk Bar NYC Flagship

Two of my daughters have Celiac Disease. I ordered a gluten free cake and the gluten free truffles for my daughter’s 18th birthday. She was so excited and ate a big slice of what she thought was safe and gf. 2 hours later, one of my daughters got very very sick and has been for the last 24 hours. I contacted milk bar and they had me check the bottom cardboard piece which had a label on it. (I would have never known to look there and my order was all gf so why would I ) It said Wheat Flour and it was the regular non gf cake. They sent a non-gluten-free cake by mistake and it made my daughter extremely sick. I am so disappointed and this is unacceptable. They were very nice about it and refunded my order, however, this should never have happened and should never happen again. I am extremely disappointed and a refund does mot make up for how sick this made my daughter. The damage has been done and cannot be reversed. If these restaurants promise gluten free then do your diligence. Milk Bar needs an education on allergies and what can happen when they ship a wrong item. So so disappointing.

Gluten free cookies that are pre packaged are labeled certified gluten free only to say “made in a facility that processed wheat”. The certification is not legit and is extremely misleading. Do not eat here

An employee told me all the soft serve ice cream was gf. I ended up getting sick. Do not trust them if they tell you this!!! Adding a star to this review because I get the packaged gf birthday cake, birthday truffles and cookie (third favorite) all the time at the LA location and never get sick. If you go, just do yourself a favor and stick to the packaged items. 🍰🍪

NOT GLUTEN FREE! Bought a slice of what was supposed to be GF birthday cake for my celiac son. He ended up vomiting all night. Definitely not celiac safe!

This is a fun surprise they have pre-packaged gluten-free items here currently there only three things on the menu but you can get a gluten-free cookie gluten free birthday cake are gluten-free truffle balls the birthday cake the employee said that is gluten-free is even better than the one that is not gluten-free very fun find so excited they said they will be more gluten-free options coming everything is cooked in a dedicated space and his pre-wrapped to avoid cross-contamination they also will ship Nationwide at well
