Waiter confused by gluten free request. Had to explain that this was not dairy. Pasta supplied appeared to be gluten free as it fell apart easily but my daughter reacted badly

We went here based on the number of previous positive reviews. When I told the waiter I had coeliac disease he initially thought it was a dairy allergy, however when I said it was gluten he was aware of the processes and assured me the gf pasta was cooked separately from the standard pasta.

We are not celiac, but wheat sensitive. The restaurant noted we ordered everything gluten free and called because two things we ordered were not gluten free. Suggested changed to make it 100% gluten free. We enjoyed everything, the food was delicious and we had no adverse effects.

Great Italian restaurant. Very touristic but fun. They charge 5$ for gluten free pasta / pizza which I think is abusive. Otherwise they make extra care for cross contamination and it was very good

Delicious pasta at a quirky little restaurant in North Beach. The gf pasta is a rotini and is quite tasty. I ordered the carbonara and it was lovely.

I am the one celiac on my cross-country running team. Mona Lisa hosted us for a team dinner (party of 13) and I was able to eat safely with their GF ravioli, which is their celiac-safe option (cooked in a separate GF pot).

What a great restaurant!! They had GF ravioli and GF pizza dough as options and were very familiar with GF. I had the caprese salad and the GF ravioli and it was SO good that I didn't believe it was GF. As a celiac, I was highly recommended. Great service and a lot of charm.

Funny italian restaurant, walls decorated with pictures of famous people who visited the place.
Staff was well aware of celiac requirements.
Good italian food, both regular and glutenfree.

This is some of the best gluten free food I have ever had in my life. You have over 30 choices for gluten free food! I didn’t even know what to pick. The food itself was amazing and the waiters here are very knowledgeable and some of the nicest people ever! Going back tomorrow :)

The restaurant was empty on a weekday lunch. Service was fine. The minestrone soup was delicious. The pizza was good. The gf ravioli was not our favorite. I had gf penne with pesto that I saw the chef get out of a store bought tub. No more gf tiramisu. Gf chocolate cake was not delivered yet. It was ok but very very pricey for the food.

we got the gf ravioli it wasn’t bad but definitely average. i think the price was WAY too high for a small portion like that, was pretty disappointed i spent so much for 2 SMALL meals. was safe didn’t feel sick but if you’re super hungry don’t get this place we ended up eating somewhere else right after

Delicious GF pasta and very friendly staff! Expect to pay about $25 per person.
Amazing food and nice staff! They have delicious gluten free options, and they seem to take care to minimize cross contamination.

I'm celiac and i don't recommend this restaurant. I told the waiter i'm celiac, and he was pretty rude "we can't garantee its totaly GF, it's not as at home"...
I ordered GF pasta with meatballs. A few minutes after ordering, i asked the waiter if the meatballs are GF... He asked the chef, who answered they contain flour! The waiter told me that some people can eat these meatballs without problem, that's why he didn't precise it to me (i repeat : i told him i have celiac disease...).
We decided to leave, as they were not trustable for GF meals.
No
The gluten free pizza had a very good crust that was unlike any other I've ever had. The service was kind and friendly, and the restaurant had a nice, casual atmosphere.
Yes
Staff were knowledgeable, food was good. Pizza and pasta. My 2 celiac kids enjoyed it and did not get sick.
A most wonderful place! The waiter was so helpful AND delightful. The pasta (gluten free) was delicious. This place stole my heart - I will return! Thanks!

Had delicious gluten free chicken saltimbocca and pasta with Alfredo sauce. Server was very helpful and restaurant very accommodating!

I had a gf pizza and did not have a reaction. However, the food and wine were not good. I would not recommend this restaurant.
Ordered gluten free, pasta was gf but not handled safely for cross contamination. I was sick for 4 days.
The manager was extremely nice and was very mindful of the gluten issue. Definitely a must visit, on top of that the food was great!
Yes
The gf pasta was limited to penne, but the staff was very friendly, and willing to work to accommodate us. Entrees ran about $16, and there were a zillion combinations of seafood, vegetables, cheese, etc. They have an extensive risotto menu as well.
