Even things labeled “GF” on the menu, and boxes that come labeled “GF” from the restaurant, may have gluten cross-contamination. E.g., the wokked tofu is labeled GF on the menu but is fried in a fryer shared with breaded items (same for some vegetables). When this came to our attention we called the restaurant to ask what in our order was *actually* GF and they said nothing; they said “there’s a difference between gluten free and celiac” and that we should have called before placing the order. This seems unreasonable for a restaurant that labels items gluten free on the menu *and also* allowed us to check a “gluten allergy” box when ordering online. In any case, the one-star review is for misleading labeling; the food is delicious and they say there are things you *can* order GF—but not everything labeled GF on the menu.
