I just wanted to temper the other reviews who said this place is knowledgeable about gluten. After my standard minutes long interrogation of the waiter about my order he asked if I wanted naan bread on top or on the side.. They don't serve GF naan, so he must not even know what gluten is. After an emphatic no and more back and forth on ingredients I ate the chicken tikka masala (was starving enough to risk it) and didn't have any symptoms later, so some dishes may be safe, but I wouldn't generally recommend this for others with celiac.

My absolute favorite restaurant in the entire world! I am celiac and have Crohns so my stomach is very sensitive. I go to Mughlai once per week and never had any issues. The owner is extremely attentive, friendly, welcoming, and knowledgeable! The paneer tikka, chicken saag, and chicken mihkani are our favorites! Best date night spot. Thanks for always giving us the best experience, Mughlai! (And for never making me sick)

Very good food. In general, they don’t use wheat flour for sauces (rather, chickpea flour), so most items are naturally gluten free and safe. A few of the appetizers do have gluten. The lady I spoke to on the phone was very knowledgeable and helpful. After I placed the order via their website indicating GF, I was called and asked to substitute an appetizer due to the presence of gluten. Great experience overall.
