Had breakfast here. The breakfast potatoes are not GF, but they were happy to substitute with extra eggs, or fruit etc.) good food. Cool atmosphere. Friendly & knowledgeable staff. No issues after. Reasonably priced. Would come back again.

We came for breakfast. For the gluten sensitive there’s plenty on the menu to order and their gluten free buns are delicious. Food was amazing.

Ate here twice, once for lunch and once for breakfast. Host taking orders was knowledgeable about menu and knew where alterations could be made on items not already flagged "gluten sensitive". GF bun was great, as was the apple brie burger. Had the Big Kine breakfast and subbed fruit for the toast; the furikake potatoes were fantastic. Fryer is not dedicated, but the other food was well worth it- plus the fruit infused water, great maitai, and unlimited refills on coldbrew were hard to say no to. Pepper water was also great!

Staff was great, understanding, took our GF needs seriously, & put us at ease. They made a note on the order that it had to be GF for celiac & relayed it to the kitchen. The Three Egg Caprese Omelet was what they recommended so that's what we ordered. (Get it with the fruit cup, not the potatoes.) Food was pretty delicious for those needing GF and those without.

They offer a GF eggs Benedict but the hollandaise sauce is not gluten free. They were very careful with my order when I explained that I’m celiac. Had a lovely omelette but skip the pan fries - there’s no dedicated fryer.

After speaking with the server, I chose not to eat at Nalu’s. This restaurant had been recommended to me because they have gluten free buns, but they did not have an allergen menu. When I discussed gluten free options with the server, she said they cook many things with soy sauce and she’s do her best to help me find something on the menu to eat. She didn’t sound sure enough to make me feel comfortable. It seemed like they catered to fad dieters, not celiacs.

If you have celiac like I do, do not eat here. I ate here on the day I arrived to Maui. Though the host was knowledgeable and indicated that he would tell the kitchen that I have celiac, some wires must have gotten crossed between me making the order and the order being prepared. I asked for a burger on a gluten free bun, and instead of fries I subbed for fruit because the fries are in a shared fryer with gluten products. The rest of my party got their orders pretty quickly, but mine was delayed by ten minutes after they got theirs. When my order finally arrived, the burger was on a plate with fries with everything touching. As nicely as possible, I told the server I could not eat it because it would make me sick, and the server rolled his eyes, grabbed the plate, and walked away huffing. I had asked the server to not just replate the food but make a different meal because it was cross contaminated. After about another ten minutes, he brings back my food. The burger was cold. I ate it, but after I ate the fruit I realized there were fry crumbs underneath the fruit. It seems that this was the same plate and burger with fries taken off and fruit put where the fries were. I got horribly sick. My rheumatoid arthritis flared up, and I was in terrible pain with decreased mobility for my entire trip.

Excellent burger on a gluten free bun that was tasty but fell apart. Low rating due to carelessness on the part of the host - did not mark order with allergen warning as requested and was flippant when asked about dedicated fryer.

The straight up burger was delicious and they offer udi's buns. The chips are cooked in a shared fryer and I'd guess the fries are too. So if you're celiac I'd steer clear of those.

The server was very knowledgeable about what was Celiac safe. Got a simple breakfast with eggs and potatoes, subbed fruit for bread. Tasty! They recommended the Caprese omelette (without balsamic reduction).

Enjoyed a great, gluten-free breakfast at Nalu’s South Shore Grill. Woman we ordered from was knowledgeable about the choices and pointed out their balsamic reduction had soy in it. I tested my Omelet Caprese and the garlic potatoes and the Nima sensor cleared both. Post-vacation update: We visited 5 times on our vacation. I tested every dish, every time and ever dish passed. This place was a gem. Update: Came back to Maui and ate at Nalu’s several more times. Tested everything and never had a single “gluten found”.

Yum. GF options were lovely and not your typical soup, salad and fruit. Whole non GF family liked it too
