I ordered the ribs and pulled pork with tots and southern greens as my 2 sides. Everything was delicious! All of their sauces and meats are gf. They also have a separate gf fryer. The waitress was very knowledgeable about what I could order. I’m celiac and had no issues at all. I waited 24 hrs. to write this review. 😊

Went there today based on all the reviews. The brisket was amazing and all sauces and meat GF. However, I was informed that as of yesterday they no longer had a GF fryer so no fries or wings. It wasn’t clear whether it was just broken right now or if this was a permanent change so anyone going should ask moving forward.

Waitress was very knowledgeable almost everything is gf but not marked on menu. They also have a dedicated fryer for fries and tots and wings were good!

Lots of GF options and our server was knowledgeable about cross-contamination, the menu, etc. Fryer for fries and tots is dedicated and safe. Gets crowded, so go at off-peak times. Our group had a variety of meats, the loaded tots, and the coleslaw. All were tasty.

I have celiac disease and was safety able to eat and enjoy dinner at Nickel's. You can order anything off the menu and just ask for no bun, and avoid the cornbread. Our waiter was very comfortable discussing my allergy and making me feel comfortable.

I got pulled pork, no bun with a side of loaded tarot tots and my boyfriend who is not gluten free got a brisket sandwich with fries. His was tasty but hard to eat the big thick slices of meat. My tots were good with the exception of the spices they put in the sour cream, not for me. My pulled pork was good but had no seasoning at all. And the bbq on the side was too sweet for my liking.

Staff was very knowledgeable about gluten-free and nut allergies. All of the bbq sauces were gluten free, and they have a separate fryer for gf only (French fries!!!) Food was delicious, and portions were big enough for leftovers!

Great experience. I wanted wings and they told me they have a separate fryer they use for anyone with gluten allergies. I was able to get wings AND fries there!

The menu didn't have gf info, but the servers were knowledgeable. They even had a cheat sheet of gluten and dairy containing menu items. Contrary to many reviews, I was told by the server that there was NOT a dedicated fryer, but that it is shared (with breaded chicken tenders, etc)and not safe for gf or celiac. I was disappointed because I had been excited to get fries or tater tots after reading reviews here that it was safe. I had the brisket with coleslaw and beans for sides. All of the BBQ sauces were GF.

Pleasantly surprised! The waitress was knowledgable about what was and wasnt safe. The dedicated fryer was a huge plus! We went for lunch and got an order of fries, buffalo garlic parmesan wings and the pork nachos. I also had a margarita, it was really good and the food didn’t disappoint!

Delicious! I split the brisket & ribs plate with tater tots & greens with my husband. We added smoked kielbasa too. So good. I had no reaction. Can’t wait to go back.

Excellent BBQ!! They had GF wings, gf fries, gf ribs, gf brisket, etc... Pretty much the only things not GF were one of the sauces, cornbread and onion rings. But be sure to ask. Our server was so helpful!!! Food was delicious. It was worth the wait.

My wife is celiac, I am not. My dish had gluten, hers did not. Staff is totally knowledgeable and answered all of her questions. Food is outstanding, better than Dino BBQ.

Awesome that they have a dedicated gluten free fryer. Can’t tell you the last time I had wings! BUT I was incredibly disappointed that a macaroni noodle was found in my tomato cucumber salad that I ordered as a side. Of course with dining out this is always a possibility, kind of ruined how excited I was to try this place out while in the FLX for the weekend. By the way- I did get sick from this :(

The food was amazing however I notified staff of my allergy and they said the put it on the order ticket so that no cornbread gets included. Well mine had cornbread in it that wasnt safe and I didnt see it until we got to our destination. I called back to explain and they offered.to make it right or refund me. They did a nice job when I went back to get the safe to eat meal. I have would go back!

Our server seemed relatively knowledgeable and double checked with the kitchen before we ordered. The food was absolutely amazing and I had no adverse reactions.

The staff are very knowledgeable about their gluten free options. They have a dedicated dryer for GF. As mentioned in other reviews all the bbq meat and sauces are GF.

Many gluten free options! All meat, rubs, bbq sauces are GF. Dedicated gluten free fryer making things like their curly fries and tater tots a possibility for those who need to be careful about cross-contamination. (For those of you with celiacs, tell me, when is the last time you were able to have fried tater tots?!) Our waitress did give the disclaimer that while they do their best to avoid cross-contamination, there is always a small risk due to a shared kitchen (but this is true at most restaurants). Our waitress took me very seriously and assured me she would talk to the kitchen about my needs. Great experience and can't wait to go back!

I got the pulled pork club sandwich without the bun 👌🏻it was delicious & I could choose whichever sauce I wanted as they're all gluten free. I left there feeling full and satisfied! If your waitress isn't sure if something is gf, just ask her to check with the cooks/manager.
