This is my favorite Nine Mike location, and in my experience the safest. The staff was nice and knowledgeable. I spoke extensively with them about the fryer and was able to eat the chips without an issue. I have not gotten sick the few times I’ve eaten here. I usually get a rice and fish dish.

I had an ok experience here. My server was not super friendly and when I explained that I wanted to double check on a menu item due to my allergies/Celiac, she was like, “yeah, it’s fine.” But then asked me if I wanted garlic bread with my dinner. The food was tasty but I did have some stomach issues after eating there, so perhaps just not Celiac safe.

Excellent food. Stick with rice based since their gf pasta is cooked in same water as gluten. I would not trust them for celiacs, but was fine with a sensitivity. Food was delicious.

We ate at Nine Mile two times during our stay in Asheville. The first was excellent all around. The second night I was sick from gluten in my meal even though gf was an option on the dish and I specified gf.

The waitress told me they boil their GF pasta in the same water as the regular pasta. She recommended one of the rice curry dishes as it was gf. Unfortunately I spent the evening looking 6 months pregnant and feeling miserable.

The menu is very well labeled and staff could answer questions about modifications. I’m GF and DF and had several options. I had the Backyard Bowl and it was incredible, probably one of the best things I’ve eaten in a while. I will definitely eat there again.

Gluten free dishes were marked on the menu as were tree nuts and dairy free dishes. I’d stick to the rice and not the GF pasta or zoodles based on cooking method. I’m very sensitive celiac and had no issues. They also had a local GF ginger beer on tap which was a treat too!

Whenever I visit Asheville this is one of my first stops for food. Such a unique menu, flavorful food, and I have not had a reaction here. I usually order with rice, but they do offer a GF pasta that is a different shape from the regular pasta as a precaution. Everything is clearly marked GF and every server I’ve had takes it seriously writing it down when you mention you are Celiac.

So, based on reviews here and the fact I don’t particularly care for pasta too much, I just avoid ordering pasta dishes. I ate here 3 x at the Montford location and never had a reaction and am celiac. I love the kingston12 and soul rebel and I just always tell them I have celiac and have been fine.

Nine Mile is one of our favorite places to eat in Asheville. The food is amazing! We’ve always had top notch service from friendly and accommodating Nine Mile staff, so I’m not sure what happened today. It felt like we were a nuisance from the time we walked in the door. As a few of the other reviewers mentioned, do NOT get the “GF pasta.” It is boiled in the SAME water as the regular pasta, so you are basically paying EXTRA to get regular pasta. In my case, my GF pasta was served with regular noodles. Again, this negative experience isn’t the rule, but an exception.
Don't get the pasta, it's boiled in the same water as the gluten pasta and they don't mention that! I have also had them put soy sauce in my GF order and needless to say I lost a couple of days of my life... when they don't destroy you it's tasty but not worth the risk!

Unique and delicious!!! Recommend: Concrete Jungle, Kingston 12, & Rock Steady (favorite). Warning: they offer GF pasta, but it is prepared in the same water as other pasta (wish they would take steps to change that).

Had the jerk chicken over rice. Tasty, but I've had better.

I love this restaurant, but I have only eaten here twice. The first time was okay, the second time, I was a little sick after. The staff is not knowledgable about celiac issues.

Really good food, nice staff and they know what they talk about if it comes to gluten free food for celiac people! There's even gluten free beers :)

Lots of options... Just ask. Try the Cool Runnings. Yummy!

This is a tiny but popular restaurant that can prepare most menu items gluten free by substituting rice or GF fuselli for pasta. I had a delicious curry with shrimp which was the special. They also have GF beer. Go early or be prepared to wait.

Soup-to die for. I am gluten and dairy free and it is rare that I can have soup out...well worth the wait :) Salad-excellent! Hubby got mango vinaigrette, I got the orange. So fresh. And GFDF! Entree-hubby had Ambush in the Night (mahi mahi) and I had Negril Nights (Tuna). Both fantastic!!! Service-Our wonderful waitress was also gluten free, and very helpful-even though the place was packed. All in all, a great -and worry free-gluten and dairy free dining experience!!

Almost the whole menu is gluten free except for 2 entrees. Any dish can be ordered either with gluten free pasta or basmati rice or with raw zucchini noodles. Absolutely loved my dinner. Very popular place. They don't take reservations, so come early or be prepared to wait. Kid friendly
