Great food…lots of GF pasta and GF pizza options. The gluten free pasta dish I ate was delicious. Waiting staff were very confident about gluten free. I would definitely recommend. The rest of my family were very enthusiastic about the non GF pizza and pasta so it’s a great option for everyone.

Nino's 46 is one of my favorite restaurants in NYC! Great food, friendly service, intimate feel and a relaxed atmosphere to enjoy dinner. Cross contamination is taken very seriously as the chef has celiac. Per their website "The passion for delicious, gluten free Italian cuisine has led Nino's 46 to be widely considered one of the top dining destinations for customers looking for an amazing gluten free experience". So true! Reservations are a must.

Server was great. The pasta dishes can all be gluten free. Apps are marked. Got the calamari and the pasta bolognese and it was all delicious. And day after all is good!
Second visit got the branzino which was fantastic. Even had gf bread for the table!
Quickly becoming my go to in the area!

Amazing! There were many options and our waitress was helpful, even told me the chef has celiac which always makes me feel better. I got the lobster pasta, and the gluten free pasta was the best I’ve ever had, my fiancé even said so too! We also had the calamari and it was great. All pizza and pasta you could get gluten free other than the gnocchi, and most of the starters too!

I went with some friends and I was the only GF person in our party. I got the pepperoni hot honey pizza and I swearrrrrr it was like the pizza wasn’t even cooked. The crust was floppy and tasteless. And the pepperoni stays with you; I was burping pepperoni all night.
Also; their in person menu doesn’t list all their gf options! If I hadn’t looked online I wouldn’t have known they did gf pizza; they only label their salad and entrees as GF.

Both the penne in tomato sauce and the kale failed Nima. I’ll pass on this place.
No
Pastas can be made gluten free, but contrary to other reviews, the waiter specifically said they can’t guarantee no cross contamination for pizzas because they are cooked in the same oven as the gluten.
I booked a reservation at Ninos only for the fact that the chef/owner has celiac disease. I have celiac disease as well. I figured the gluten free food would be amazing. Bread was brought to the table for the non-celiac diners in my party. No Gf bread brought or offered. After our main course came, it took me half way through our meal to flag down wait staff. When I asked for GF bread they brought cold, GF store bought bread. It was disgusting. We also ordered the side of broccoli rabe. It had been blanched but not sautéed and NOT seasoned. I told the waiter at the end of our meal (because he never came by until then) and he didn’t seem to care about the bread. He did take the broccoli rabe off our bill, but we never got to speak to the chef and he didn’t really seem to care about out complaints.

There are good gluten-free options. The food was delicious. (The chef mentioned he’s Celiac too.)

Small traditional Italian restaurant. Very noisy, make a reservation. Staff was very knowledgeable about gf options. They have gf penne which can be subbed for any pasta and they can make most dishes gf. Offer gf bread and oil as well. Def worth a try.
Gluten free pasta options. Knowledgeable staff

MAKE A RESERVATION!!!! This Is not a walk in restaurant. I wish we had known that.
The food was FANTASTIC!!! The pizza is a MUST!!! The service was outstanding!! So thankful we were able to eat here (especially as a party of 7). The only downside was not realizing that the listing should show $$$ - our bill was near $200 and all we had was pasta and pizza. Totally worth the money (high quality ingredients and staff), but would not have eaten here with the family, would have gone as a couple on a date had we known.

Excellent food for good price. Good celiac options

Loud and crowded but great NY environment. Chef is apparently celiac and waiting staff was very knowledgeable and friendly upon ordering. I had the spaghetti without meat (meatballs are not gf) and gf noodles are always penne so it’s a good way to verify your food is safe. They also brought me some delicious gf bread when they brought out the regular bread (which I think is rare)! SO delicious and my non gf sister loved it as well. Would go back in a heartbeat!

We had a great meal here. My daughter is Celiac, and we mentioned it on our Open Table reservation, plus we told our waiter. The Chef is also Celiac, so I felt really confident they knew what they were doing. We were not disappointed! The waiter brought bread and olive oil to the table for the non-GF diners, and then brought out GF bread and olive oil for my daughter that she said was good. The GF pasta with bolognese was outstanding. I tasted it, and actually wondered if the kitchen might have made a mistake because it tasted like regular pasta! But the waiter assured me it was GF, and it was. My daughter didn't get sick at all. I had the salmon, and my companion had a pasta dish that he liked a lot too. Overall, great food and experience. The only downside was there's no children's menu and they wouldn't do a half portion, so I paid about $20 for a substantial bowl of GF pasta (which I finished the next day!).

I never write bad reviews and feel it's my duty to tell people about places that care enough to do it right. Last night we were brought the wrong pasta (apparently the printer didn't flag ours w red ink bc ink was running out). Luckily, I remembered they only serve gf penne - so when fussili arrived I asked and it was immediately corrected. the chef came out personally to deliver the correct meal and a big apology. I write this because I believe this was educational for the staff, the chef more than made up for it (luckily my d hadn't eaten it yet), and as a reminder it's our responsibility to keep our eyes open and ask questions. I have no hesitation in highly recommending Ninos and will go back again. The service was great, it's reasonably priced, and the food was delicious. Definitely have the creme brûlée!!! It's perfect- not too sweet w crunchy glaze- wow!!!
Update- my celiac daughter begged to come back- so we did- another fabulous meal! Thank you!!!

Good atmosphere but limited seating. Can make most meals gf except for pizza. Pasta comes in small portions but very delicious.
not actually open for breakfast
Delicious GF pasta options/substitutions available. The waiter was knowledgeable and kind in explaining that the GF bread he brought me was kept separate from regular bread and was safe. Left feeling satisfied and had no stomach issues.
Yes
So disappointed. We read the reviews and thought we found a great place. Sadly, we did not. To begin with, the staff was not very welcoming. We asked about GF appetizers and we were told flat out"No". I asked about GF bread and was told "No, there isn't any." They eventually found some, but it was well after we got the gluten bread. My daughter's GF pasta was undercooked. The menu says entrees can be made with GF pasta. With that thought, the entrees should be able to be made GF as well. I get that chicken parmigiana is more of a challenge, but if you sub grilled chicken (which was ok) add the mozzarella cheese! In addition, they charge $3.00 extra for GF pasta. I can buy a box of Barilla for $2.50!! As far as taste goes, it was ok. On the plus side, it wasn't that expensive.
Ordered 1 dish for myself (Celiac, dairy allergy), and 3 for coworkers (1 has a raw tomato allergy). I clearly communicated this to the hostess when putting in my order for delivery, and gave her my credit card # for payment. My dish cake with a cheese sauce(dairy), and my colleagues' came with a tomato. She also threw out my cc information without charging me, so the delivery guy was expecting cash. When I called to point out the problems, I received no apology and only got refunded when I got the manager on the phone(only refunded for the incorrect items, should have been the whole meal for the inconvenience). We will not be coming back.

Chef is a celiac himself. The best food and GF bread as well.
4+ Always a thrill to find gluten free items/menu. Shared a tuna tartare with cucumber appetizer special minus gluten bread with my husband. Gluten free bread was available too and tasty! No other bread has come close gf wise and then there's wonderful olive oil for dipping. Luis, our server, was attentive and knowledgeable. He shared that the chef has celiac disease, has the appropriate separate kitchen areas, and would start serving gluten-free panini next Mon for lunch. When I ordered the lasagna, he pointed out it was not gluten-free. My alternate gf penne with a veal and pork bolognese sauce was delicious! My husband who does not have gluten sensitivity loved trying mine!

Really enjoyed my meal and most importantly felt safe. I met with the chef who is celiac before ordering and he was overly nice in explaining all of the options and made sure I would be taken care of. I will definitely return when I am back in NYC!
The chef is celiac so he makes a point to train his staff really well. They brought out gluten-free bread to go with the meal. Great classic atmosphere, fantastic cocktails, wonderful service--what more could you want?

Owner /Chef has Celiac, his name is Franco. Very nice and attentive staff. Right now they only have Pene Gluten free in the pasta, all entrees can be done gluten free.

Please go here and try the short ribs!! They are out of this world. You will not believe they are actually gluten free. The executive chef actually has celiac disease himself so he 100% knows what he's talking about!! I have been here soooo many times and never been sick!!
