As a restaurant owner I had some big red flags raised while walking by their outdoor kitchen. Upon which I talked to a server (not mine) to confirm that my suspicions were in fact true. I have celiacs, my daughter has celiacs, my mother hashimotos-all of us served contaminated food. Also confirmed by the manager and the executive chef. While I give them credit for changing some of the menu items immediately, they neglected to change the nachos as discussed hence the one star view. The chef also admitted that the care of some of his cooks could be lacking for a Celiac. If you have celiacs I would wholeheartedly advise you to stay away from everything except the Quinoa salad and the 3 GF desserts. Their staff may have good intentions but doesn't take it seriously due to "fad diet" vacationers.

As a guest in villas, I truly appreciated the GF labeling on the menu but it was very limited, especially on side items. Hangar steak small plate was very good but needed to offer something else GF to add to it. Priced like a meal but not enough to fill you for lunch and due to limited options that was my lunch. Also, need to offer a GF side item kids will eat... Fresh fruit or even a separate bag of GF potato chips. Sad to say to a kid, yes you can order off the GF kids menu that even had GF bread for burgers, but you can't eat the fries, or the chips that come with your GF entree because they are fried in the same oil as everything else. Therefore, I wouldn't say that it is celiac friendly. No happy hour GF food menu items offered was disappointing as well, so we just had our own GF happy hour in our room. Good, but I know the Westin can do even better.

Have a menu for gf but waiters were very uneducated on it

This is for the Ocean Bar & Grill at the Westin Villas. Not worth a trip, but we were staying here and I was grateful to have gf labeled options on the menu. Steak small plate was good (forget exact name). Bartender was attentive in placing my order.
