Their salad and basil pesto pasta was delicious!! Didn't get sick

I had the gf pasta with veggies and gf sauce. It was a big portion-- taste was fair (that's why I took away a start-- sure would be nice if they had gf bread. The gf salad is always good. Did not get sick

The waitress made a great effort to make sure that myself and my young niece with a gluten allergy were well cared for, but there was disagreement as to what we could and could not eat. The menu said that the sausage is GF and could be added to the GF rotini and vegetable marinara, but the cooks said it wasn't. She was worried, so they decided to cook the sausage separately and plate it separately so I could decide whether or not I was willing to try it... It made me uneasy as the cooks and printed menu were in disagreement. We still don't know whether or not the sausage is or is not GF, but at least they cared enough to make sure I knew there was a risk. She also took the time to make sure myself and my niece had a safe bowl of salad to ourselves.
The sausage-less pasta was pretty good overall, although the noodles did fall apart rather easily. The vegetables were appropriately cooked as well.
My only question is who do you believe--the printed menu or the cooks and wait staff??
Yes
My experience tonight at Olive Garden was excellent. The waitress was knowledgeable about my options. Then the manager came over and acknowledged that I had requested for gluten-free options and insured me that they would change gloves to maximize safety. Then a third person came over to serve food and he pointed out that it was gluten-free and that they changed their gloves when making my food. I don't have allergies, but I am sensitive to gluten. I don't know if it would be safe for celiac, but it was safe for me.

I have eaten here twice and both times it was great! The servers are knowledgeable and their menu has everything labeled well so you can see what you have to choose from! They also instantly knew and aknowledged no croutons on the salad as soon as I mentioned a gluten allergy. I do wish they had more sauce options than what was listed.
