Ox Yoke Inn

A true German experience. It’s not fancy but it was very safe ! It reminded me of my grandmother meals. I cried after eating. It’s so rare to have a meal that’s safe and takes you back to beautiful memory. The roast beef was delicate and flavorful tender not dry! The beets were earthy with sweet notes that was perfect chilled! I have to use an epi pen when I get wheat in my system. I have no reaction to wheat only the joy of the experience!

Food was good but portions are not large for the entree prices. There is a gluten friendly menu online but during covid restrictions the menu was a bit more limited. There were a couple of options so at least I had a choice.

This restaurant is in the middle of the Amana Colonies in a perfect location for lunch. There aren't many other gf eating options around. It has very good food, the staff are very careful and will answer any of your questions about the menu. I really enjoyed my meal. There are about four choices on the gf section of the menu which makes it slightly limited but at least they are very good ones. Their strawberry jam is amazing.
