This was the best Celiac Friendly place I have ever been to! The Manager went above and beyond to make sure we got exactly what we wanted and made sure everything was perfectly gluten free. BEST EXPERIENCE EVER. The only con I would have would be there that there are only a few gluten free options, but it is the best service and food you will ever have.

As another poster put it, there is no gluten free menu and they have very limited options. I ended up getting the crème brûlée which was phenomenal! The hostess was slightly rude but the waiter was great.

I came here with some friends and wasn't planning on eating, but was pleasantly surprised that I could! I only ordered a small salad and the creme brulee, but it was very good. The waitress assured me there would not be cross contamination. Not a good place if you want a lot of options, but delicious nonetheless.

Had almost no GF options and contrary to what another post says on here, I was told the fryer is NOT dedicated GF.. Got a salad that was essentially just a head of lettuce for $8 and there was a hair in it. Absolutely would not recommend.

In town for conference and had lunch here. Had steak and frites (dedicated fryer). Food was delish. Brought Crème Brûlée back to hotel for snack later. Highly recommend. Review written 24 hours later - no reaction.

Knowledgeable staff. Manager came to the table to review options. Bananas Foster was wonderful. It didn’t say GF on the menu, but it is! Shrimp bisque was tasty. Didn’t have dinner - just appetizer and desserts.

Got a gf dessert - creme brûlée. Was noted gf on the menu. Not sure much of anything else is gf though.

We will never return. Not only did they only have 2 GF items, but they messed up our order twice and we finally walked out. I have Celiac and my daughter has Type one diabetes. It’s not safe.

They only have Shrimp and Grits that is technically GF. But you can get grilled chicken as nothing gluten goes on the grill. Also the fries are cooked in separate fryer. Our waitress was amazing and very accommodating!

Had the omelet which made me sick after. It taste ok, but they messed up my order and brought me fried chicken and waffles after I told them I had Celiac
We ended up leaving. Went there for lunch and there were 2 items on the menu that were gluten free. One of them was a salad. We just got up and walked out, so not sure about the quality of the food.
I came for dinner and I had the salad and duck with mashed potatoes and it was AMAZING! So flavorful and succulent! Service was outstanding too! This was a wonderful meal and i will be back!
Yes
Lunch menu is marked with the GF options but, total entrees available at lunch was 5, for anyone so, narrow that down to GF options. Didn’t get sick, had an amazing meal but, not the place to go if you want “selection”.
I have been here twice now and felt good about it both times, the waiter went through the whole menu pointing out things that were labeled gluten free or could be modified to be gluten free and was very knowledgeable. I ordered two dishes that he pointed out that were not labeled gf but were easy to modify both came out perfectly and I felt very safe eating them.
Clearly marked items on the menu. Knowledgeable staff. Children’s meal grilled the chicken & pan fried potatoes for her. Very happy with the food.

Variety of both GF dinners and dessert. Helpful staff.

The food was amazing, the menu is clearly labeled and the staff were on point!
Staff was very knowledgeable, especially regarding sauces, dressings, etc. that are safe or not. Very friendly and didn’t make me feel stupid asking questions. GF indicator on their menu.
Yes
Knowledgeable staff and good service, but the live music was a surprise. They were good, but loud, and we ended up shouting at each other instead of talking.
The lunch menu has only two GF dining options. We asked our waiter if there were any other choices. He talked to the kitchen staff and they were able to identify two more options. None of the choices were appealing to my daughter, so we left. You might find something you like...but maybe not. Pleasant ambience and friendly staff...but very limited dining options.
I went there because this cute says they have a gluten free menu but when I asked for the gluten free menu they said that the regular menu has a gf next to gluten free items. There was not one single gluten free item on their brunch menu. When I asked again the waiter said maybe the dinner menu has items, but that wasn’t available for me.

We came here for breakfast. All the wait staff were wonderful and friendly. Gluten free options were indicated on the menu, but the breakfast bar really called my name. When I asked about the gluten free options on the breakfast bar, the waitress was more than happy to list these for me, as well as tell me what to avoid. In the end, most of the breakfast far was safe. Also, the waitress had a concern about the eggs on the bar as far as a contamination, so she offered to get fresh eggs from the chef cooked just for me however I wanted them cooked to ensure they were safe! Everything I ate was amazing, but 100% the star of the meal was their grits. I don't think I'll ever encounter grits better than those, I've thought about them every day since. If you are a person that likes a good breakfast before a day of walking around town, you must go here!

Only 1 item on the menu was marked gluten free (lunch). I asked if others could be adapted, rude no from waiter. Ordered the one item - 1/4 was inedible as a little tomato stack as it was all core. I asked for that to be replaced (3 times), was given a tiny shriveled over cooked tomato slice...not the stack with the sauce and other items. My third underwhelming experience there. That is a strike out in baseball - 0 for 3.

Fantastic food, very GF friendly and responsive. Wonderful atmosphere. One of my favorite restaurants in town!

There are extremely limited gluten free options here. We ordered anyway and was given the wrong food. What we did get was not good.
Food good. We got the breakfast buffet. No gf pastries, but eggs, potatoes, grits. Classic beautiful atmosphere.
Excellent food. GF items were indicated right on the menu and the selection was very good. Had a few desert options too. Service was very good and staff were on top of the GF options. Knew which of the specials worked and which ones didn't. Highly recommend it.
Yes
Good options and the food was great! We ordered a cheese board with the bread on the side for the non-celiac people and they have us extra apples.
Gluten free items are clearly marked on the menu. Staff is friendly and seems knowledgable. Pretty place - good for a date night on a busy New Orleans street. Would recommend to others.
Yes
They did not have a GF menu when we were there. Very limited options my 3 year old w/ celiac would eat. If you can eat gluten, the food is awesome but if you can't I'd go somewhere else with more choices.
Only 3 items on the lunch menu are gluten free. Not impressed. No gluten-free menu
it was good. they don't have a gluten free menu, telling you to notify waiter and they would take care of it. my waiter didn't seem to know what celiac/gluten free was, but he did check with chef and was able to make recommendations. it's celiac friendly if you're careful
The wait staff seemed annoyed about our Celiac family, however if you are proactive it is a good option for gluten free dining. The food was great. Take note that there are 3 Dickie Brennen restaurants in the Quarter. Dickie Brennen's Tableau was a great Celiac friendly experience. The wait staff was very knowledgeable and the Chef made adjustments to make meals gluten free. We also dined at Dickie Brennen's Steakhouse. Although pricey, this was by far the best Celiac dining experience while in New Orleans! Highly recommend all of the Dickie Brennen restaurants!

No gluten free breakfast menu and server did not know, or seem to care, what gluten was. I asked him to please ask the chef of a good breakfast option- other than the buffet- that i could eat, and he wouldn't. Such a bummer because the reviews looked great and I was so excited to go here and totally disappointed. I ended up with the $16 breakfast buffet- the bacon was sitting on top of a loaf of bread (?) , I was able to eat the ham and scrambled eggs. Didn't get sick from that so that's a plus. Wouldn't recommended coming here for breakfast.
Yes
the owner's write has celiac disease, so they were attentive. excellent brunch options. the menu was new so the separate gluten free menu had not been printed yet, but the server was very knowledgeable. had the Surf option, gf crab cakes with poached eggs, caviar, hollandaise. so yummy. also had the build your own bloody Mary during the Sunday jazz brunch . highly recommend.
Yes
expensive and pretty food was good but you really cant screw up steak n eggs
Yes
They have a pretty good selection on the gluten free menu here. I know the Palace Cafe has won some awards for its food, but I wasn't very blown away by my meals. I had the cobb salad with chicken for lunch, and the rotisserie chicken for dinner one night. Both were good, but not award worthy. The cocktails were pretty good, and they had a few good selections on the desert menu, like a white chocolate creme brulee and the famous bananas foster. I had the bananas foster twice, and it is seriously delicious!

Delicious Ceasar Salad without croutons. Tasty Chicken Pontabla modified as gluten free. Great upscale choice.
Yes
They have a nice separate GF menu, and the staff is amazing.
Went for brunch. Really appreciated the dedicated GF menu. Husband may have gotten a bit sick from the eggs and hash served in a skillet that my have been source of cross contamination. I had the Cobb salad and no issues. Quite tasty!
Awesome gluten free choices.... My friend isn't gluten free but ordered from my menu so we could share two entrees. both items were excellent
Very good. Separate gluten free menu - just ask for it. Husband, who is not gf, was very happy with his meal, as well.

I was very happy with this restaurant. They are very aware of cross contamination. Celiac friendly and the steak was amazing!!!

This is a wonderful, classic New Orleans establishment on Canal street downtown. The servers have been very knowledge about gluten-free options, they have a dedicated menu, and work to accommodate patrons with celiac's disease.
