We ate here last night & had a wonderful experience! It was crowded (even on a Tuesday night!) and without reservations we could only sit outside or at the bar. We chose the bar because it overlooked the kitchen & we could see all of the food coming out. The bartender who served us was exceptional & very knowledgeable about celiac. Gf items were not marked & they did not have a separate menu but the majority of items could be made gf. They still have a dedicated fryer & use rice flour. We started with the fried calamari, which is always a treat to have anything fried. Then I had the shrimp & grits based on his recommendation & the reviews left on here. We finished with the gf chocolate mousse cake but we asked for them to add a scoop of vanilla ice cream on top, which was needed to balance out the chocolate. Great restaurant, great atmosphere & great food with no side effects!

I love it there. I have never once gotten sick. If you are a kid like me, I recommend the shoestring French fries and the chicken. Their Shirley temple is good too!!!

Nice atmosphere. I had a steak special. Deep fried potatoes that were supposedly safe for celiacs. And a salad. So so sick after. Assume the fried potatoes? I shouldn’t have trusted them. Who knows where the gluten came from. …. Super disappointing after all the high ratings.

Food was amazing! We’re from Michigan and I have not had fried shrimp in over 5 years. It was such a treat! Our server was very knowledgeable and made recommendations. Will come back again 🙂

This place is so clearly a five star GF review. Food is outstanding, and it is either naturally GF or is easily made GF. Fried oysters, shrimp and gator tail - or go fancy and naturally GF. Something for everyone, and what Celiac kid doesn’t need to be exposed to fried shrimp.

Best gluten free food I have ever eaten!! Amazing staff that are insanely knowledgeable and make sure when they bring your dish over they say that it is gluten free. They have separate friers and do a great job! One of the main reasons myself and my fiancé come to Ponte Vedra

The food here was amazing. I was informed that everything on the menu could be made gluten free. I had the daily special which was a breaded flounder. It was breaded in rice flour and was amazing. Great place to have gf breaded fish. They also have a chocolate mouse cake that is gf for dessert.

My absolute favorite restaurant in the world. They can make almost anything fried Gluten Free. Most of their sides are Gluten Free and everything tastes amazing. I’ve never been disappointed here and we’ve eaten here 20+ times. The view is the river is incredible and their service is top notch.

This place is amazing!!! If you have Celiacs. They have a dedicated fryer. They will cook anything on the menu that is fried.. Gluten free. They just substitute the regular breading for rice flour. it’s that simple. Just tell them you have celiacs and the make anything on menu gluten free. No other restaurant has ever offered this!! Can’t say enough! Have never gotten sick!! Amazing!!

I almost cried there were so many options! Just about everything in the menu could be made gluten free! We had a Beet Salad, Fried Green Tomatoes, Octopus salad and Broiled Seafood platter--everything was delicious!!! Cute, small restaurant. Everyone was helpful and friendly! I can't wait to return!!!

I had the best fried shrimp! It was safe and in a cool spot. You could eat outside by the water if you wanted. We went early, you may need reservations if you go at dinner time. The place is not very big. We went from St Aug and the drive by the water was a nice plus!

What’s not to love about this place? They have a dedicated fryer for GF so pretty much any fried option you see on the menu they can do GF. There is not a separate GF menu but the servers are well versed on GF and if any questions arise they go check with the kitchen. Try the GF calamari, you won’t be disappointed.

Dedicated fryer and very accommodating of other allergies. Person who is just gf loved it. Need to be very specific though for other allergies. Usually ask for plain fish rather than list no nightshades, onions, etc, and the fish came seasoned.

The staff was very knowledgeable about which menu items were/could be made gluten free. Care was taken to inform me that my food would be prepared in a special area, but that they could not guarantee that flour from other areas of the kitchen would not be in the air. I am Celiac and had no problems at all. I chose the Roasted Beet Salad and the Shrimp and Grits. Both were awesome! I will definitely return.

I've been to the sister restaurant North Beach Fish Camp and delighted on the fried fish several times. At Palm Valley, I opted for the fried chicken with gravy, grits and collared greens. Huge portion -- had leftovers of everything. Tasted great too. Don't miss out on GF fried green tomatoes to start!
