this business is no longer open. :(
I love this place! It is a bit higher in price but most gluten free food tends to be a bit more anywhere you go. I love that they have everything you are craving in a gluten free version and the also always have new things I haven't tried before.
Yes
It's a solid GF store for everything packaged. I was hoping to see breads and baked goods from the LA or California region. They need to work on local sourcing.
Great assortment of GF goods. I'm always surprised by people who complain about the prices: a small gourmet shop obviously can't beat out Ralph's, but their prices are way better than Gelson's and Whole Foods, which are the usual alternatives for gluten free baked and frozen goods. My only complaint is the parking situation - Portos customers always steal the designated spots!
Yes
I'm torn. Great to have GF all in one place, but can't afford to shop there.
Huge supporter of theirs but those with celiac beware -- you MUST read labels to ensure your product is not made in a facility that also processes wheat.
Eh... They have every GF processed food and mix you can imagine. It is kinda nice to walk into a place where EVERYTHING is GF. But as others mentioned it is super pricey. I don't think we should be eating so much highly processed food. And Pam McD herself is one strange bird.
We all love it! There were free samples and there where a million (ok not a million) things.
LOVE THIS PLACE!! They know their products and give great recommendations.
Expensive! Two little bags and $97 later noticed similar goods at trader joes for half the price! Bought an organic marinara sauce there for $5 Trader Joes carries one for $2.25 organic and gluten free. The neat thing is everything is gluten free
Their selection was good, but their workers are awful. I asked the girl where I could get lunch, and she directed me to a bakery with no gluten free options. I questioned the recommendation, and she said, "yeah, they don't have gluten fee and i don't know of anywhere to send you." She had no idea.... If you're going to work in a gluten few grocery store, it would behoove you to learn a bit about the allergy because people are going to ask you questions.
Very pricey. Not as "big" of a selection as advertised. Some employees were not helpful. If they expanded and lowered prices, I would shop here often. Good to see a market that is specifically GF, but I wonder if it was created by a celiac owner or a $$$ owner.
Wonderful resource for GF. Helpful staff and great selection. Five stars!
Love, love, love Pam MacD's! The staff is knowledgeable and haven't given me a bad recommendation yet. They are always getting in new products so my GFCF life is never boring.
I LOVE this place! Everything is gluten free, the staff are very helpful and friendly and they carry tons of unique items you cannot get in your local grocery store. I go every weekend, they always have new items.
Pam's is strictly gf. Wide variety of items to choose from. They do have some grab and go items to eat if you are in a hurry. I can't say enough about the staff .... very friendly and helpful. A place to shop where you don't have to worry about what you are buying.
Great selection of gluten free items, and the staff is extremely friendly and helpful.
