Pancake Mill Restaurant and Pie Shoppe

Went on a Saturday morning. It was busy and there was a bit of a wait. It also took a while for the food to come out. But when it did, it was worth the wait! Waitress said the food had been delayed because they needed to remake the dishes because mine wasn’t gluten free the first time. Pancakes were so fluffy. They have homemade berry syrups that are sooo much better than maple syrup.

We have been here every year when we travel for camping. We are very careful with our Celiac daughter, she smiled literally ear to ear through her entire gf pancake mountain (no extra charge for gf too!) - their menu isn’t highly detailed but staff is knowledgeable about Celiac and cc and cleaned a section of the kitchen for her food prep and cooking. She feels great after eating here and we feel great finding this hidden gem. I tipped huge because I rarely find small diner-type places that are so accommodating. I love this place!

This has always been my favorite pancake house. Newly diagnosed, first GF pancakes. As good as regular buttermilk pancakes! They also have buckwheat and GF potato pancakes.

After ready all the reviews I was super excited to try this place out. I was then told by the staff that they don’t use or clean anything to separate the gluten free items and even do all eggs and such in the same stove top as the pancakes. Really disappointing

The food was amazing I love the gf waffle and the syrup was amazing. The service was even better I loved the staff.

AMAZING

Their GF Dutch Apple pancake is to die for! I didn’t get sick eating here and the food and service was PHENOMENAL. Can’t recommend enough

Unfortunately, I was super excited to visit here due to other reviews. As someone with Celiac, I haven’t had pancakes or waffles in a very long time. Other reviews stated this place had a separate waffle maker. But upon ordering I found out they do not have a separate anything. They do have lots of gluten free options but also everything has a high potential of cross contamination, including the eggs. So I’d say check them out if you just need GF options but if you have any sensitivity or are Celiac, don’t come here for breakfast. I’m eating cottage cheese and fruit cup this morning.

Celiac friendly?

This place is AMAZING! They understand gluten free and even have a separate waffle maker. I hadn’t had a Belgian waffle since I was 8. Gluten Free is the norm here and they even mark their GF items with cute toothpicks. I have Celiacs, asked a ton of questions, Tiffany answered them all without hesitation. While they can’t guarantee gluten free I was 100% confident they didn’t cross contaminate my food. Great GF food, great service, clean cozy atmosphere. Can’t wait to be back!

GF Pancake, waffle, and muffin options! The gf zucchini muffins are so good, you can’t tell they’re gf.

As it turns out they do not have a gluten free menu. Just items on the regular menu and the only item I saw was steel cut oats. There are disclaimers all over the menu that say all the food is prepared in the same kitchen and even gluten-free items may have residue from gluten. We chose not to eat here because we are true celiacs and don’t want to chance it.

Lots of options for multiple food allergies (gluten, soy, and dairy) and vegetarian. Super friendly staff, and our server got the recipe book out to check a few menu items for us. Even got some GF muffins to go. Everything GF comes out with a special stick in it.

Pro tip: I don't know if it's like this every day, but you have to write your own name down on wait list. (No host. Or rather, the whole wait staff serves as host.)

Came here last year 9/2 and today and both times didn't dissapoint! Delicious gf raspberry muffin (they also had a zucchini one!). I had a veggie omelet without cheese and it had loads of broccoli and zucchini. They also have gf waffles, buttermilk pancakes, and potato pancakes on the menu! Yum!

Kids (4 celiacs) were in heaven: enormous GF pancakes and Belgian waffles available - they have a separate area on griddle for GF foods, and waitress came out to tell us that the waffle maker had been used for gluten-containing waffles and did we want to change our order. Definitely aware and knowledgeable about celiac! Other kids had great chicken club on gf bread, and a yummy gf Mac and cheese special. Also omelettes. Good food, quick service!
