I love Pane e Vino and have been coming here for years, before I knew gluten was killing me.

The GF menu has vastly improved, they will ask at the door what menu you would like! Servers are well trained for allergies, and the food comes out with a little marker.

Lots of delicious options including a GF cannoli for dessert!

Our server was clueless but assured me that my food would be DF. After eating I found huge chunks of butter. It doesn’t make me as sick as gluten but it isn’t the best and made me suspicious of all the food if it was GF. The server blamed it on the kitchen not reading the ticket. Not comforting or taking responsibility. I was upset, having repeatedly requested them to ASK how it’s made and ensure it would be ok. I emailed to discuss with the restaurant but no one bothered to reply.

The food was delicious, same group as Massimo’s another top choice of mine for dining in Providence. Make sure you ask for GF rolls to be put in for you when you sit down (very soft inside).

Wonderful atmosphere and service. There is a separate gf menu which is very similar to the regular menu. In the mood for a breaded cutlet - there are several to choose. I prefer not to have gf pasta out. You never know what’s going on in the kitchen. The chicken Milanese was fabulous - cutlet, arugula and cheese. You must go!

We chose Pane e Vino - Providence for the recent Mother's Day occasion at the very last minute, mostly because we heard how great their Gluten-free menu was. Due to it being Mother's Day & graduation season, we knew it would be hard to book a standard table, and it was. Called in the day of and spoke to Austin who was amazing & let us sit at the bar instead of outside. THANK YOU AUSTIN!!! Our bartenders for the night were Brian & Sam. We were pleased with the food, service & overall vibe of the restaurant. Food & drinks were DEELISH!!!! Restaurant was a little tight, crowded & noisy...but we managed to enjoy nonetheless. Will def be back in the future & we happily recommend :)

For take out I ordered a Pulpo and the Putanesca, with sides of the gf rolls and mashed potatoes. The other gf person in my family ordered the broccoli pasta, roasted cauliflower, and the prosciutto salad. Even though one order of rolls was accidentally not gf (ok because other folks could eat them), I was so glad the staff member on the phone knew right away that they were gluten full when I described them. The food was delicious for all of us with no adverse reactions. I am already wondering when I can order again!

Wonderful experience here. Big menu of gluten free food (instead of marking what they can make gluten free, they mark what they can’t make gluten free) but I felt very safe eating here. Got the Chittara a Cacio e Pepe and it was good! Didn’t get sick and I am very sensitive. Cute restaurant and everyone was very helpful and reassuring. Would highly recommend.

I had gnocchi with sausage and a red sauce. It was fantastic and the servers seems knowledgeable. A manager brought over our food and said it was specially prepared by the chef and was gluten free. A nice touch was warm-from-the-oven GF rolls, which were delicious! The GG cheesecake was also delicious. Overall, it was a great experience and I highly recommend for those with celiac disease.

I've dined in twice and had carryout twice during Covid. Unfortunately, I got very ill after my 2nd carryout order so I think there was a mistake when preparing our order (GF calamari, GF chicken parm, GF braciola di maiale). I'd felt very safe and assured about cross-contact prevention when dining in the restaurant, but we won't be ordering takeout again. The food was delicious and there's an extensive GF menu.

Large number of gluten-free options!

I had an excellent meal here, and I didn't get sick from it. The server was knowledgeable and doublechecked to make sure the GF is cooked in its own water and not in the same water as gluten pasta. The manager brought me my meal, and it was delicious. Rolls were excellent also. My companion is not celiac but he loved my GF chicken parmesan and pasta. Will definitely come back here.

This restaurant was absolutely fantastic in accommodating my gluten free needs. My husband and I had a wonderful dinner. They served the best rolls and were very informative. I can’t wait to return. I highly recommend.

Delicious food, excellent service, extensive gluten free menu. Our family of two celiacs and two omnivores eat here together with never a mix-up, right down to the olive oil for the wheat bread and for the gluten free bread. Even on a busy Saturday night, the staff never rushes us, answers all our questions, and confirms which dishes are the gluten free ones as they serve them.

Their gluten free menu is the largest I have ever seen. We went early on a Sunday evening when it was not crowded and so the staff were very attentive. Our servers were knowledgeable about Celiac and went out of their way to provide a safe dining experience. I had the scallops and risotto, it was an excellent choice. They also provided me with gluten free dinner rolls and a complimentary limoncello at the end of the meal.

We ate here a couple of months ago for my daughter's birthday. Although their menu clearly states in red font that they are not a GF environment, we felt safe eating here due to the great reviews and the usual comprehensive conversation we have with the server regarding how the meal is prepared and cross contamination concerns. She had the fried calamari and the penne with broccoli rabe and was extremely sick within a couple of hours and she hasn't been glutened like this in a long time. Therefore we cannot recommend this restaurant to those with Celiac Disease.

Thank you to all of the previous reviewers for pointing us towards this incredible restaurant! The menu is quite extensive and the food was delicious. Service was impeccable and every time they brought out a dish the server prefaced what it was with "gluten free"; this attention to safety was incredibly reassuring. The drinks on the GF menu are not necessarily GF, so you do need to ask about those, but otherwise we had a stress-free and delicious Italian dinner. We will absolutely, positively be back! Celiac safe...I did not get sick!!! Woohoo!

Best and biggest GF menu I've EVER seen. It was outstanding- the best restaurant experience I've had in 8 years of celiac. And in an Italian restaurant no less! I didn't feel at all deprived. I had the veal Marsala with fingerling potatoes and asparagus. It was delicious. And calamari and great GF rolls and GF croutons on the Caesar salad. Our waiter was very knowledgeable about food allergies and the kitchen clearly was too. On the way out, we spoke with the host. He wrote down this app so he could look at the reviews. And promised to get more variety of GF desserts on the menu. They only had cheesecake and gelato. I didn't have room for dessert anyway!

Just come here! AMAZING! The meal started with 2 Gluten Free dinner rolls that were like "bread". The gluten free mushroom ravioli was heaven, and I finished with chocolate gelato with an espresso shot.
