Why do people like this place? Everything is dry, crumbly, and sandy. I appreciate having a place that caters to dietary needs, but not if it's going to taste like this. I'll just stay home and bake something.

One of the best bakeries in the area. If I didn’t know I would never guess their products are vegan and gluten free

Hands down one of the best gluten free establishments out there. They have a separate store that they cook all the GF goods in. I trust them more than I trust my own baking for cross contamination. Love the Papa Ganache crew too!

Amazing gf desserts. Have tried nearly everything and it is all delicious and gluten free!

Papa Ganache is my go to bakery for gluten free baked goods. I placed a custom order for donuts for a friend for his birthday and they were all delicious but we enjoyed the apple cider donuts as the other flavors like pumpkin donuts were cake like in texture and the chocolate donuts were dense and fudgy like a brownie. The apple cider and the jelly donut holes closely resembled a traditional donut. They were all fresh and super tasty and that homemade jelly was divine. Since that time I have tried many cupcake flavors and I can say that the creme brûlée and strawberry jam filled cupcake are so good. My all time favorite though is the Italian rainbow cookies. They taste so good and so close to the traditional recipe that you would never know that it’s gluten free. I love that they have a separate dedicated facility where they bake all their gluten free goodies and when you walk in all gluten free baked goods are one side clearly labeled and they change gloves and use sheets of parchment to grab onto the item. I feel safe which is most important! My only issue and it’s not a deal breaker is that at the cranford location we have purchased baked goods that tasted frozen and were hard.

I had a couple different things. Nothing amazing- wouldn’t go out of my way to get it because it’s expensive!
This place is amazing! The staff was so nice since it was my first time in! I have celiac and they had an entire case that was gluten free! They even had a refrigerator with take home food not just pastries. I got a variety of goodies muffin, cinnamon roll, and cheesecake. Everything was so delicious can’t wait to go back!

Absolutely amazing GF options! I wish I lived closer because baked goods are hard to come by!

We love this bakery, from their creme brûlée cake and other delicious cakes, to their macaroni and cheese. You won’t be disappointed. It’s worth making a trip to this bakery! They have a separate kitchen where they make gluten free and dairy free products. When you go to the bakery, one side will have gluten products but the other side will have gluten free products, and they’re in separate enclosures. Be sure to confirm with the employees which side is gluten free. My daughter and I both have Celiac disease and we love this place - we have never had issues eating from there.

Friends brought cupcakes to my home for a small gathering. I couldn’t figure out why I got so sick. My Nima sensor said it all. Gluten detected.

Everything I've had here has been very tasty but it can be kind of expensive.
Update—-recently circled back to pap ganache after hearing of their new dedicated GF kitchen. Choc chip cookie tested safe on my NIMA—-
gave this place a few tries as I really wanted it to work for me, but after being glutened numerous time it is off my list. The cross-contamination is too much for this celiac
Just got a dedicated gluten free facility so Celiac friendly

Very knowledgeable staff. Dedicated GF section. Everything is clearly labeled GF. Everything is DF. Love their chocolate chip cookies in a bag.
THIS IS NOT A GLUTEN FREE BAKERY. They advertise a gluten free menu, gluten free cakes and cupcakes BUT all of their items are cooked and baked with and in the same pans as non gluten free items. They do not know the difference between just using gluten free ingredients and actually cooking gluten free. Their menu and boards all say gluten free which is very sad for anyone that doesn't ask questions on how their items are made.

I love that they're vegan plus gluten free! I can literally have any gf treat I'd like since I'm also dairy free. I've loved this place for year (even before they won cupcake wars!) I can have so many treats now!
I like this place! Every so often on the weekends I grab a bagel and it's where I get my cookie dough.
I don't really go there for anything baked already! But they are delicious. And I have no gotten sick from them ever.
And on the sign/equipment debate, while I didn't see a sign in the window, I DID see a sign a while back by the gluten free section on the wall that warned that, while they do their best to not cross contaminate, they cannot guarantee it will always be safe. The sign also said the same with things that do not have nuts in them.
But I mean the cookie dough I buy states that it's processed on equipment that processes wheat. So....They must share equipment. They just clean it well.
Good place!

Far from reputable. I ordered a gluten free b-day cake for my daughters sweet 16. Cake was picked up and called to verify it was GF. It wasn't. They owner never apologized, took responsibility but rather said I never ordered it GF! Thanks for ruining my daughters sweet 16! Avoid this bakery at all cost!
Beware the false claims by other reviewers. my daughter has medically confirmed celiac disease. she had eaten dozens of products from this proprietor and has NEVER suffered symptoms.
self diagnoses by unscientific methods should be ignored.
also the slanderous lie about the sign in the window can be put to rest by this photo of that sign.

I was so excited all items looked great. Brownie with pecans on top so delicious! We tried more than one thing! Very good Gluten free choices so many desserts to choose from. On a positive note happy for gluten free dairy free! We will be back when in NJ again! A place to stop in for sure!
Thing to keep in mind, there is no sign in the store, but on their website they say that everything is cooked on shared surfaces. High chance of cross contamination

Lots of gluten free options for desserts & lunch. Got almond rainbow cookies, cinnamon donut, coffee cake, chocolate cookie... All were great! So happy for these options!
I ordered 3 gluten-free pies for last Thanksgiving, apple, pecan, and chocolate. I had lots of questions when I ordered, the gentleman at the counter was very helpful. The pies were excellent, very tasty! Couldn’t even tell that they were gluten-free. My husband picked up the pies, it was the day before Thanksgiving, and they were super busy. The pies were ready to go. This was our first experience with Papa Ganache, and it was great! We’ll be back.

Have heard many many times since they have opened that they SHARE EQUIPTMENT!!!! True fact that they DO NOT DEDICATE KITCHEN AREA
Nothing special. Have had much better
Very few gluten free bakery options. We got cupcakes and apple crumb cake when we went and neither were very good. The icing was piled high on the cupcakes, but it was barely edible. The owner was also there the night that we went and she is not very pleasant.
I explained to the girl I am anaphylaxis if exposed to gluten. She never told me that the same equipment was used for both gluten free and vegan products and I did not see a sign posted anywhere. Bought a few gluten free cupcakes and had an attack due to the cross contamination.
A large variety of GF vegan treats: brownies, cookies, cupcakes....also had gf penne Mac and cheese, gf pizza and a broccoli cheese quiche when we were there. We enjoyed everything! My younger son particularly enjoyed his giant chipwhich! Says that same equipment is used for non gf items but that they are thoroughly washed between and cooked on different days. My son did not have a reaction so I feel comfortable saying that it is a good option for most all.
The yummiest spot! Best Mac and Cheese, incredible treats. Just had a great stuffed pizza the other day. Have gotten party cakes made and people are not only shocked it's vegan and gluten free but have told me they crave them. The staff is incredible and they really have a heart and do a lot of community work. I'd be happy to give them my money any day.
OUTSTANDING! They made a birthday cake to accommodate ALL of my allergies and had no trouble, no uncertainty. My double layer chocolate cake was gluten free, dairy free, tapioca free, no natural flavors. I haven't had real-feeling/tasting cake or icing in years. And it was really pretty! It was excellent and really made my birthday so special. I recommend them highly!
Delicious gluten free treats! Very knowledgable staff.

By far my favorite GF bakery for desserts in NJ!
Cupcake wars winning gluten free baked desserts! Amazing! Everything is vegan and about 1/3 is gluten free and prepared separately. Typically 20 types of cupcakes and 6 loaves of crumb cakes etc. On hand. No bread.
