We’ve always felt safe eating at Papi’s. The owner has celiac, so we know they take gluten seriously. However, on our last visit, we were told that the entire menu was gluten-free, even the Chile Rellenos. This was very exciting for us. As always, the food was delicious and more than I could eat, so we took about half the Chile Rellenos home. We decided to test the dish using our Nima sensor, and gluten was detected. I don’t know if the Rellenos straight-up had gluten in them or this was a cross contamination issue, but we will not be back. Eat at your own risk.
