Excellent food - we had deviled eggs & crispy broccolini for apps. I had the salmon & sweet potato entree. The owner’s wife has Celiac sot they totally get it. Very reassuring.

The mussels, oh my!
Love Polite Society. Wife and I have eaten here thrice, and never been glutened. Servers know their craft; and the head chef came out to talk to us directly to reassure.
Love them.

I’ve eaten here several times and have never gotten sick. Their food is amazing and if you ask for a gf menu they will bring you one that is marked with the items that are safe. The selection is limited for brunch but for dinner there are several great options! One of my favorite places to eat in STL!

Great service! Chris, our waiter marked up the menu to show me exactly what I could or could not eat, as is or modified. Most of the items on the menu we’re either gluten-free or could be made that way. I had the tempura battered vegetable appetizer. So good! I am vegetarian, so I got a main course of risotto, even though it was on the menu it was part of a different dish. They were very accommodating. Would definitely go back again. Not cheap, but worth it.

Place was fantastic! Food was amazing and service even better! When I said that I had celiac’s the waiter came and actually wrote on the menu all of the things I could have and any substitutions I would need to make in order to eat a dish. I would say 75% of the menu was available to me. I had the braised bison short rib and it was out of this world. I also had the fritto Mtiso (sp??) appetizer which is basically deep-fried battered vegetables which is something I hadn’t been able to have in years but it was all gluten-free with a dedicated fryer. It was amazing!

Food was just ok but didn't get sick so that's a very big plus. Dedicated fryers so I had wings for the first time in years.

Outstanding tempura portobello appetizer. Over half of the dinner menu is gluten free. I had the salmon and my wife had the lamb risotto. Both were excellent. They were very responsive through email when I had questions about the menu.

Very impressed with the staff and menu here. Majority of dishes are GF but the tempura portobello app was amazing. Got a deconstructed version of the salmon entree. Also, fries are in a dedicated fryer. No issues.
The gf tempura portobello was to die for. We had a scallop dish and a sausage risotto dish as our main courses. They were delicious. Our waitress was great, knew the menu and went over everything with me. The portions are big. After our appetizer we couldn’t finish our meals. Great value for serving sizes. Highly recommend!!!

90% of the menu is gluten free. They have a separate fryer and take precautions to prepare food separately, if you notify your server of an allergy. Tried the pork belly and grilled peaches appetizer, and split the Korean fried chicken and duck breast for dinner. Everything was exceptional.

Amazing food. Almost completely gluten free. Dedicated fryer. Knowledgeable staff. Food was tasty and well displayed. Truly an experience for a foody. Like another person said, it’s more of a $$$ than $$. Definitely be back. Scallops were so tasty!

Staff was knowledgeable and if they didn’t know, they found out. But the menu was super celiac friendly. Yay! Try the mushrooms—fried portobello! So good!!

This was a great place if you want a fancy dinner. The food is excellent most of it is naturally gluten-free, but it’s more of a $$$ than a $$.

Great food with a menu that is carefully designed to be majority-gluten-free (ie, GF Tempura Portobello). Although they don’t have a separate menu, the staff are always aware of the GF offerings, even the seasonal ones. They are acutely aware of best preparation practices to eliminate the possibility of cross-contamination. Can get busy on weekend evenings, so call ahead for reservations.
