Everything about this place is amazing! The server (who is also the owner) knew about CC from the fryer even before I asked. She said that they deep fry the plantains first (that are gf) and then fry other glumtenated things afterwards, to avoid CC. The empanadas are NOT gf. Lots of other safe stuff to choose from. I loved the tofu bowl. The restaurant itself is really lovely; an old house from 1890, old world charm. Beautiful outdoor patio. If you’re in Phoenix, don’t miss this place!

Great place! The owner is very aware of cross contamination concerns and easily guided me to menu items that would be safe for me. The food was wonderful.

The waitress (I think she was also the owner) walked through the menu with me and could essentially accommodate any entrée. She said that they fry the plantain chips every morning with a clean frier so they are gluten free even though other fried things aren’t. I had a delicious pork bowl with all kinds of sauces and rice and beans. It was delicious. Small menu but most things can be GF, I highly recommend!
