Updated their menu and no longer have lunch items and only very limited breakfast items that do not contain oat flour. They used to be 5 stars and my go to in COMO but will be stopping elsewhere in COMO on future trips through. Their chocolate cake used to be phenomenal, now it was wet rubbery and more frosting than cake. Definitely has gone downhill. Safe, but your options are sugar and carbs only now, no healthy choices.

Insanely expensive small portions of ‘decent’ food. $3 for a cheddar biscuit smaller than my palm. The gluten free bread is absolutely disgusting. They say it’s homemade because there’s no gluten free bread at the store—LIES. I asked why it was so tiny and brown, and she said, “That’s just what gluten free bread looks like.” LIES AGAIN. They do, however, have some really amazing food! The puppy chow is TO DIE FOR. The potato leek soup is incredible as well. Unfortunately the place is not open very often—I’m a kid so I can really only eat out on Fridays, Saturdays, and Sundays, but they’re not open on Sundays and the days they are open on they’re not open past around six o’clock. The owner also often takes long vacations without warning, so CALL BEFORE YOU GO. Also, if you see the open sign in the window, THIS DOES NOT MEAN IT’S OPEN. This is up all the time. The chocolate cake is amazing, but me and my little brother (who is ten by the way), cannot handle the HEAVY amount of fudgey sugar, and usually end up throwing most of it away. Most of the desserts are very good, but with excessive amounts of sugar. Most of the meals are not good, but the ones that are amazing!

Another stop on a cross country roadtrip brought me to Columbia, Missouri. Free Range is a cute, quirky little restaurant located in a repurposed warehouse inhabited by quaint shops, an art studio, and salon. The restaurant is free of most common allergens with dedicated preparation and kitchen space. The staff is knowledgeable and helpful. It is a bit difficult to find as Google maps took me to another location about 100 ft from the actual restaurant. However, a quick phone call and a helpful staff member pointed me in the right direction.

We stopped here in the middle of a long road trip and I will be sure to return if I ever have an opportunity.

The chocolate cake and cupcake were moist and amazing. (Most other GF cupcakes I've tried are too dense or too dry.) I also appreciated the reasonably-priced breakfast I was able to grab here, since I could not eat the breakfast offered by our hotel.

Really enjoy this completely gluten free place and visit every time I'm in town. Not cheap but good. The sandwiches they make are delicious and they have micro green sprouts, a must in my book for sandwiches. Delicious soup, the waffles are great, and the sweets are outstanding. A lot of different options for sweets, including a gluten free gooey butter cake which is rare. Doughnuts and cookies and so forth, including vegan options. Definitely recommend.

The food was ok. The bread was kinda hard and the beef pretty fatty. It was nice to order at a GF place though. The food was pricy. 8.50 for a sandwich on small slices of bread seemed high. The menu pricing was confusing depending on your toppings. You are charged extra for each topping on your sandwich. (50 cents extra for lettuce). The cupcake was good.

Went here at the end of April 2017 when visiting friends. This has been my favorite GF find !! We ordered one of everything on the menu and shared it all. The breakfast pizza was soooo good, as was everything else. It was so nice to have a GF waffle! But their desserts are the BEST GF on the planet- cookies, cupcakes, but the absolute bestest (lol) is ooey gooey brownies!!! Seriously stock up bc you won't find desserts anywhere else like this place. YUM! I can't wait to get back there, where EVERYTHING on the menu is GF!!!

Wonderful options and nice folks working there. Though more of a cafe than a restaurant the food is well worth the cost. I had apple cinnamon waffles and my husband enjoyed a quicke of the day (feta and kale) with a quinoa crust. We shared a fresh chocolate gf donut later. So good!

They have a great menu and are very knowledgable. They prepare only allergy friendly recipes so cross contamination is not a concern. The ladies working today were very friendly! A great place to eat for those of us who have few options due to Celiac and other food allergies. Kudos! The restaurant is located in a building with other businesses, had I not known that, I would have had trouble finding them. Otherwise, a great experience all around. Thanks again!

The food was good. And EXTREMELY expensive. Paid 7 usd for 2 teeny tiny biscuits with some gravy along with 10 for a waffle, yes, A WAFFLE, one, single, waffle, and it was burnt. One of our party got a salad. It was ok. On top of this we had to wait for 30 minutes for the food. I would suggest finding someplace else if you can.

AWESOME awesome awesome!!! Tried the lemon pound cake, cupcakes, potato soup and got an order of biscuits and gravy for the next morning. Shared the baked goods with my family, even my non-GF members remarked at how moist and delicious they were. Soup was good. Biscuits and gravy even tasted good the next day. It's nice to go to a restaurant and NOT have to worry about accidental cross contamination!! So priceless to me, many thanks to all the staff!! I'm sorry I got excited and didn't take pics....lol I promise to make it up shortly 😉

My husband and I went here this weekend. We ordered the asparagus leek quiche, czech salad (which should have just been called bacon salad), biscuits and gravy, and a lemon cupcake. We also tried samples of their chocolate/mint cookies. The biscuits and gravy were really good and a little spicy. The salad was tasty and the half portion was a really good size. I thought the quiche was only so-so. It had a crust but it was pretty forgettable. That said, I'm looking forward to coming back again.

The desserts were amazing and the lemon cupcake had some kind of filling in it. The chocolate mint cookies tasted like Thin Mints too. They also had cake donuts but we had already ordered plenty so I didn't try them. They have no gluten on the premises and also are friendly for other allergies. They label whether or not it is dairy free, soy free, grain free, or egg free and seemed very knowledgable. The menu varies a lot so my suggestion would be to check out their facebook before you go.
